Question to hobbyist.  I've noticed that in the last year I have been more active and enjoying dfk and daty but I have also gotten strep and sinus infections more.   Anyone else experience this

Urine tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia are actually site specific tests-that means that if you have one of those infections down below, then you will show up positive on a urine test. However, both of these bugs can also move into your throat with unprotected oral. (And likewise, someone with one of these as an oral infection can pass it on to another person's private bits during oral!) A urine test will NOT show positive for gonorrhea or chlamydia if you have it only in your throat. Common symptoms are sore throat, and other associated symptoms that might be mistaken for a sinus infection or strep. Having such would also make you far more susceptible to genuine strep and sinus infections as well.

If you aren't already incorporating throat swabs into your STD checkups, I would strongly suggest you visit you doctor or clinic asap and request a swab. At the very least, this will provide you peace of mind!
