most people wouldn't really like to receive texts.  I have no one to hide anything from at the moment and even I have my reservations on this.  I guess it would really depend on the nature of the texts, but even something as simple/innocent as "I'll be in town next month" could be dangerous if the wrong person sees it.  If it was someone that I had a strong connection with and the texts are just keeping in touch, I'd have no problem with those.

I have no problems at all with email.

Do you like to receive random text messages or emails from a provider you have seen before?

Unless the client agrees to it, sending text messages is not a good thing.  First, some guys still use their personal cell.  If the SO read the text, someone is screwed.

E-mails are fine since I would assume that most guys are not using their personal or business e-mail address [but there are still idiots that do].  Still, I'd rather be given the option to be added to a mailing list.

like when I am on my way to an appointment -- are fine.  But random texts at random times should be avoided.  Email should be used on those occasions.

I am glad you guys clarified for me.I have worked duos with several ladies and they "brag" about sending the gents dirty texts and picture mail. I always followed the policy: you go first in communication; just to know Im not crossing the line. Now I dont feel like Im not doing something all the others girls are doing to market themselves...Im keeping myself from being forward and annoying. Thanks. Always good to get the other side's prespective.
