. . . providers who I never asked in advance before listing them as a reference.  Just read another thread making it crystal clear that doing so is a pain in the butt.

It is always a good idea to let a provider know
that you need to get a referral. If they don't
remember you try clues. If they are still clueless
move on.

If they email you over and over again as if they
remember you the screws my have come loose.

this was a common sense. Hmmm, think about it. Noone would like their number to be given out without getting the OK first.

But as a college teacher I find so many social standards most anyone over 30 takes for granted have become something that is almost completely ignored. In most cases, it's either because no one bothered to explain it to them so they simply imagined it was okay because someone else does it that way.

I would also like to apologize for the same reason. In my defense, I will say that I never gave contact information that was not readily available on their website. I guess one of the reasons I never asked in advance was that I was afraid of the uncomfortable conversation: "What do you want to see her for? Why not just come and see me again?" I'm sure that conversation probably wouldn't happen, but it would be just my luck. Maybe in the future I'll just avoid the whole situation by joining RS2K.

in my experience I have met only a couple of past guests who will contact me first, which is best.  If you tell me who I should give the ok to then I do not have to spend time making sure she is ok.  MOST of my past guests provide me reference, some after as much as 4-5 YEARS without so much as a word.

Also, LADIES, if you would like a reference PLEASE introduce yourself and with more then just a first name.  In many cases I might not know who you are, so including a link to your site and reviews will speed the process otherwise I have to go back and forth with you requesting that info which takes time and could have just been taken care of in the initial contact.  I refuse to give a reference to someone I can't verify as being ok to give one to one way or another.  Hence where it is helpful to let me know who will be contacting me first before supplying me as reference.

Also, if you contact me first and it has been more then a year or so then I can let you know I would be unable to vouch and there will not be an issue with me not vouching for you to a provider.  Let me tell you, it only takes one provider saying that she can't vouch for you to be out of the game no matter how many others say you are great.

I am an RS2K member, I would prefer to use my reference instead of RS2K. I just do not know how safe my info would be. On the other hand, I feel more comfortable with my reference and before I gave my reference's info to the lady that was for a week here in Chicago back in January, I asked if it is OK with her to be my reference. I would never assume, I would always ask first.

many girls when contacted will bad rap the lady who the client is trying to see and I have heard that happen many times, more times than you think. That or they say I do not remember him or I do not know him...its sad really but true.

Yes it is best, safest and easiest to become a rs2k member.

how many ladies have given you false info? It is a business but how many treat it that way or do they think guys are only their's to see and no one else.

You hit the nail right on the head.
This is where my recent need for
verification was going.  Out of state
provider references are more reliable
than some local ones. Not that all locals
won't because many will but a hand full
have this new vocabulary . It sounds like
this which they tell the client. They say
( STAY AWAY) and I cannot express how many
booked anyway ...

Apropo also makes a good point because it's really true.

so reference at most times is not worry. However, there are some ladies that don't accept RS2K. So to meet them I give references of some of our lovely CHicago ladies. However, I CONTACT THEM FIRST BEFORE GIVING OUT THEIR NUMBERS.

The lovely ladies I have met in Chicago are always glad to provide the reference. So please contact the ladies before giving out their names as references.

RS2K is a painless way to be verified. The other way is the TER whitelist.

Many ladies that do accept RS2K also require references so the gent still needs to contact a provider and ask if he can use her as a reference.

I agree that there are some ladies who either bad rap the provider the gent is looking to see or try and dissuade them from seeing someone else by contacting the client and offering him a "special," but this does not apply to the vast majority of ethical providers who work together daily providing references in an effort to keep everyone safe.

As for claiming not to remember someone, the window for references is shortening.  What I mean is that ladies (for many reasons) are only giving references for the past year (or in some cases as little as 6 mos).  Often gents will say I saw XXXX about Z mos ago and it turns out to be more than a year. This is not always the case, but it does happen.  so there are instances when a client cannot be verified for this reason.

I dislike generalities or painting the entire community in a bad light, when there are so many wonderful, ethical ladies who do help each other every day.

Let's not let a few bad apples..

a few guys tell me that the provider didn't want them to see me...lol...and then afterwards asked them who was better...all I could do was laugh...it is only a few bad apples...but I have learned to just do my own back ground check...and leave the drama in the orchard :)

that is why I do not assume, I always ask first.

Being slightly green on being an Indie, I am confused as to "forewarning" another provider.  It is, in my opinion hard to keep track of boys when I do NOT keep info on file nor in my phone.  I love to help for referals for other chickees-but what best helps me to remember is age, looks, and their tastes to jog my memory.  I feel it's safer that way -FOR EVERYONE.
Does this make sense or should I deter from these ways and be more organized?
