Seems that area code is just bad news when it comes to hobbying.  Lots of jack shacks and ripoffs.
I don't hit BP very often, but when I do...if I see a 630 number, I just keep looking.  What's up with that?

This has to do with the way prepaid phones allocate numbers. I seem to notice that the very cheap brands (that are very good for a hobby phone) also attract those that need a very trusty (ie: very cheap) burner phone. When you get prepaid, you have to give a zip code to mark a location and I think most of those generate a 630.

Not sure what is going on with many 630 Area codes, Some of us like myself are legit and has
been around for many years, I only changed my number once since I have moved to Dupage
County but I must agree with you some phone now are the free government phones.
The best way to go around that also Google the number!
