I have been at this for a number of years now, slowed down in the last year (due to just being to busy)
I just turned 60 and starting to wonder if my time at this is passing?

I would say the average is 55, but this is likely severely confounded by my personal preferences. Gents in their 20s and 80s are definitely on the periphery of the the normal distribution with guys 45-65 representing the middle.
As I have gotten older, wiser AND after post-covid I have seen prices sky rocket and have seen more and more opportunist. I have slowed down due to the fact that the institution has change in many ways. Ways that I can no longer afford nor deal with the scams, the gouging nor the lack of integrity that was out there 10+ years ago. I no longer have the time to TOFTT nor get catfished at the cost of $xxxx to get the sub-par service. To me it’s not about age but it’s about the quality out there today. I remember the day when you create a bond, got to know each other and hang out but yet today it cost you $ just to hang out. There was a community and friendships that arose. There really was a family environment. Maybe I’m not privy to that anymore but it was a different time. $800 - $1200 for an hour with a early 20’s girl is no longer in my wheel well let alone a $1000 per hour 50 something. Now deposits everywhere and you don’t even know if they will show up to bat. I’ve been black balled “as I have heard” because I ask one too many questions. I’m not an emailer. I want to hear a voice on the phone and ask my questions and be done with it. That’s all. Made things personal. A voice. The back and forth email is where I got in trouble. Why? You ask one too many questions via email now I’m wasting their time and its black ball time. Now its no longer a personal transaction it now business. I dislike the industry and I hope to find that one girl that I can connect with and keep her for life…. I’m so over the hobby.
So to answer your question…. There is no average age. It’s all about what you want to accept and chance.
Average age??? They’ll take your money regardless it’s what you want to accept as services paid in full.

I'm relatively new to the hobby (few years). But, I see the phenomenon to which Snake refers.
My perception is that there are fewer "professional" escorts than I would have thought. Ladies who manage their affairs like a service business. Who, offer a top notch service and are proud to have those services reviewed, because they understand that reviews ("word of mouth") will increase their customer base. Or, who cultivate long term relationships, because they know that its easier to keep an existing reliable client than to attract a new one.
There seem to be a lot of girls in the hobby who are "hit and run". Escort for a short while, build a bankroll and get out. They don't care about repeat customers, because they're not going to be around long enough to benefit from them and they know that there's an endless parade of guys ready to fork over money.
I'm sorry to say, that I'm one of those guys too. The fact is, if guys patronized the better escorts, and ignored the "amateurs", the market would shift to provide better options. The problem is, we're slaves of our little heads. Or, at least I am.

They say "you can never go back again".. but I believe in this place it could go back... the nature of this place used to be person to person, good old human connection... that has been lost.

I agree that the tenor of the relationships and time together has changed from friends to transactional in most cases. I do remember the great old time meet and greets ( not unlike Kwasi's) that were about people enjoying each other in our own little world. They no longer happen in Boston, enjoy Chicago.
This is why I've turned to Seeking.com to find girls. Most of the girls on there say they're looking for somewhat of a relationship but after talking with them you realize a lot of them just want a PPM arrangement. You can build a bond with some of these girls especially because they don't work for an agency and probably only have a couple guys they are seeing. It's bene pretty fun.

It has completely changed - I recall my very first M&G almost 15 years when I was first starting off. One of the ladies back then brought me to that M&G and after the party we all went out, had drinks, and didn't get in until 3am. We would help each other out - I helped a couple ladies with their resume and now have great careers. It wasn't just paying for their time, the time was one thing, but there was a personal relationship that was developed and maintained. Oddly enough, in my career that is exactly what I do....not the case anymore in the hobby anymore.
These days it is strictly a business transaction, no building of a personal relationship at all. For many of the ladies, It's about them not about you despite what their website says.
Elle is absolutely correct - COVID changed a lot, but 2KG and a couple agencies I engage with have been amazing. I'm younger and think my time is dwindling in this hobby. I saw the M&G attendees, and was surprised that a number of the ladies listed actually attended because they signed up in the past and not show up, last couple years and the years before COVID the female no shows were much higher. I didn't attend because I was traveling, but can understand why the men had more no shows this year.
Like everything else in our lives, there is no exact way to exit this hobby, we just adapt to the changing times
So true snake. I'm 56 and been a member here for over 20 years under a few "names" . The industry has indeed changed. Even girls/ladies you are friendly with because you've seen them 5 or 6 times will scam you now.
The younger ones are no different than others of this younger age group. They expect top dollar with no performance. I also believe drugs are really hurting this industry. As others said before it was a way to make a living and treated as a people biz. Now it seems it's mostly a way to make money to fuel the next hit.
But I'm still out here looking for the diamond in the rough who will be nice, not charge 500 and appreciate return biz

And by reading some of these comments I am wondering where you guys are finding ladies! I have been doing this over 10 years and I have some clients who have been with me that long too. I must say I can count on both hands how many times I have been asked to dinner and this was before I charged for it. I have found that most guys don't want to wine and dine . Instead its a cum and go. They don't want to talk or romance the ladies from what I have come across. I thought maybe it was because I was not high enough for those type of things. I have not been on a " date" per say in so long that I started getting rid of my nice clothes. I think for me since I offer NURU which many ladies don't that is what they are after.
As an older guy, in the past I would seek out the more mature ladies. Over time, my experience was that the 26 year old ladies were the best. And, I came to appreciate some agencies because you screen once and you can usually book on any day or time. Yes, pre Covid was much better but gotta adjust.
