I'm a "mature category" woman.
I have this age policy and now clearly state that I will only meet with men 35 and over, although I used to say "prefer" just to put it politely.
It became clear that this led some who were much younger than that (23!) to think they still had a chance. For a short time, I did give gentlemen who were close to that age (32, 33 etc) the opportunity to open a dialogue and if I felt comfortable after texting/emailing, then we would meet.
After doing this a few times, I learned that this simply didn't work for me.
For me, age really is a number..... a number that makes me uncomfortable. I don't care how mature, sophisticated or experienced you are (heck, some of my favorite regular friends are immature, unsophisticated 60-yr-olds! lol!) if you are that much younger than me (more than a decade) than I will not be relaxed enough to make our time together the best it can be. I'll be on edge, uneasy, and just unable to provide the best experience possible.
Nowadays I still get contacted by those who read my policy but are still hopeful. Some who are in their 30s say that they'll be looking forward to seeing me in a few years when they do meet that age requirement......
But by then, I might have raised my minimum age to 40.
Most of my clients are over 60. A significant percentage of my regular friends are over 70.
Those are the folks with whom I'm often the most comfortable.

...as long as they pass my screening and are polite throughout the experience.
Some notice a tendency for younger guys to be rougher or more forceful and less respectful of boundaries, but i thing it's a case-by-case basis thing. In my personal experience, I've never had issues with guys under 35, but i think that's more of a screening issue on my part.
Others, like Debbie above me, have personal preferences regarding age and know the age group that they prefer. That's super valid. Those providers that have an age restriction know that they feel most comfortable seeing people of a certain age.
Most of my clientele are in the 35+ camp, but that's by coincidence.

I have many wonderful clients in their 20s who have been coming to see me for years.
I suspect most of all of our clients are older (even the young providers) because the older men of had more time to establish themselves in this life and can more easily afford this hobby.
I always have current photos up so if it 20 something-year-old wants to see me I'm fine with that.
Like I'm some old lady or something! WTF? LOL.
Under 30 is kind of tough for me, not because of maturity as much as it is just that they're young. lol. After being with guys 45 and up for such a long time, under 30 keeps looking younger and younger. I'm not even mid 30's yet and I'm saying that lol.
But 30 and up - sure.
