Rejected Review - Contemplative Response/Rantregular_smile

Let's be honest up front - none of this stuff is all that important.  On the other hand, everyone's issues are important to them!  :)

I did a review of Rose Lee (of Cleveland) a week back and it got rejected as being not detailed/explicit enough.  I was initially outraged!  Of course, I think that whatever I write is deathless prose.

I thought I should complain to a Moderator (but didn't - even before I read the post below).  I thought I should look for the place to lodge a protest (but didn't)  With a little thought and contemplation, I recalled all the great information and support this Board has been and decided that, well, I would just rewrite the review and try to comply.  I did and it was accepted.  The rewrite took me all of 5 minutes probably.

I also noticed a thread below started by one of the Moderators (that they don't handle reviews) and noticed that some people seemed to have some issues and/or perspectives that were interesting and perhaps controversial.

I know this is going to sound like sucking up to the "powers that be" and/or the Moderators.  As I thought about I guess I decided that I should take the approach (like I did with writing my review) that - the rules are the rules.  Comply with the rules or move on.  If you want to respectfully disagree with the rules - fine - but keep it respectful and start with the back channel.  The Moderators probably spend a lot more time that we realize doing this stuff.  We should probably take that into account more before we get too critical.

This is a great resource and I am a paying and contributing member.  I still have to abide by the rules (even if I don't like them).  At the end of the day - I am not in charge and if I don't like it I can go elsewhere.

Every once in a while I feel the need to write something.  My intended "tone" is just conversational (not confrontational).

There are so many great ladies I need to make time for (Foxxie, Kyla Lavi, Giselle69, etc)!

Have a great weekend.

I have had a review rejected, but also received a reason for the rejection.  All I needed to do was to alter the review to be in accordance with TER policies.  It was no big deal.

My concern with reviews is that giving someone a bad review could mean trouble for the hobbyist as evident from prior discussions from those who have received less than favorable reviews.  I will never provide a bad review of someone.  After all, while I have left a provider feeling cheap, I have to question myself if the less than favorable experience was a result of the  provider having a "bad day at the office" like anyone else can have, or was it something I may have inadvertently said or did to dampen the ocassion.

What is the point of having a review site if all things cant be written? If your experience at that point in time was bad, write it. Also, I have read reviews that were approved that didnt have the detail of mine that were rejected.

The worst hotels of 2009 list just came out based on consumer reviews. I appreciate the honesty.

I wonder why I take the time to write detailed reviews when I read other reviews that are one paragraph with virtually no detail.

It was for a no show for a provider who is a regular advertiser on backpage.  It was never posted and I never heard from the moderator as to why.

By definition, if she was a no show, there was no encounter to review. This has been discussed on there boards before. Best to post a rant on a no show on the discussion boards.

I had one rejected too for the same reason (not detailed/specific enough). I spiced it up a little with more juicy detailed and re-submitted it; it then got accepted. Do not take too personal!
