after a week of planning..you had a 'communication snafu"??? not in the real world..

Well, when I sent an email asking how I was going to tell her the room number, I got a reply that said "You may txt my assistant at xxxx".  To me, that means SMS/cell phone text message.  However, apparently that meant:

1) Email me the room number
2) Call my assistant at the provided number ONLY if there are problems.

Of course, I sent a sms/txt message to assistant and called to double check.  Then left several voicemails.... It did not help that the assistant was unavailable.

Anyway, it was sorted out via email.  We were both really bummed.  Alternative arrangements were made.
