Downtown Chicago is pretty Central for a Location. So are the Hotels near O'Hare Airport. Never get any Hotels on Lincoln Ave between Foster Ave to about Devon Ave. Most are Dumps and have a lot of Street Level Girls working out of those Locations.

I use hotwire, but I change hotels a lot.  I book 2-3 days at a time then switch.  I think my last trip I managed to keep hotel averages at less than $125 a night for 3.5-4 star hotels.

I do not like staying in the Loop or near the financial district.  And Grant Park is just too far away from everything.  One of the joys of working in Chicago is there is so much to do!  It's a great city, with a lot of fabulous clients.  Enjoy!

USE RS2K...I give $100 off for RS2K guys.  It's well worth it, they are screened properly and know the protocol.  Cuts way back on now shows and last minute cancellations

Hotwire?
Priceline is far better and you can specifically bid for mag mile. Priceline beats all the sites... if you know what you are doing and how you do it.

....than Priceline line at the time was not trying to let me get for the price I wanted to bid (grrrr lol).
Hotwire being a better deal than NYOP on Priceline is super rare for me though.

There is a specific way to get your price on priceline. I have taught many how to do the bidding and get what you want especially in the Chicago market. I have never paid over 89 for a room and that was during the summit with Obama here in Chicago and that was at the palmer house and was a bid. That stay was actually a kinda funny story.

I know all the bidding techniques/zones etc (i'm a user of betterbidding and biddingfortravel) and like to think of myself as a Priceline queen lol but trust me in that one rare exception in the history of ever Hotwire just won.
