...I'm flying into O'hare mid Oct with the SO and staying at the Crown Plaza (2 m away according to site).  I'm attending a conference at McCormick Place.  I wondering what the area is like around both places nowadays.  5 years ago, there's not a street in MPLS that I would not have walked on alone at 10 PM, now there's parts of the city I won't go to during the middle of the day.  How has Chicago changed?  I'm about to book this trip and soon the SO will start going online to read trip advisor trying to get details on personal safety as she likes to go out shopping and such while I'm gone during the day.  Just like to get the pov from the locals before she starts telling me what what I should think lol.

Any hot tips on great incall opportunities around O'hare or McCormick are also welcomed of course.  Happy to share insight on my knowledge of Minnesota or Rio Grande Valley (Texas) if there are any interested in those areas.  Thanks in advance!
