What percentage do you think have communicative diseases but won't say because they need the money?  I say 20%.

I'd say closer to a third, but the geography can and does affect the source.....

If you are including positive antibodies but no known current active outbreak of HSV 1 and /or HSV 2, I would think the percentage is quite high (over 70%).  Condoms are not close to 100% protection against either, and having numbers of sex partners who have numbers of sex partners, well, you get the picture.  I would  think that the percentage of providers who work with an active outbreak or disease that they are aware of is maybe 10-15%, but I have no basis whatsoever for my guess.  I'm also an optimist.

Tongue in cheeks has to increase those numbers substantially.

There's always a risk but staying away from BP and unknown Eros ads should cut down the risk substantially. If you're not screening a provider while she's screening you, you're taking more risk than you should. It's easy enough to check with others and word of mouth spreads quickly. Stick with providers who have ethics. There are plenty of ladies here who meet that criteria and certainly wouldn't see you if they're sick whether it be a cold, the flu, or an STD.

If we're including all forms of STDs (both treatable and untreatable) among the full socio-demographic spectrum of working girls, then I'd say 15%. I do think that certain age ranges of girls have a higher percentage change of transmitting an STD than others, as well as other socio-demographic factors (financial net worth, race, etc.).

Those differences render a general average meaningless. I have read some of the stuff suggested by LG when she was around, and studies say there are also sorts of subgroups within the provider community, and the differences between each of those groups are quite large.

For example, drug use and STD frequency are pretty high among streetwalkers (who do still exist); at the other end they are quite low among high end escorts. Both groups are "providers," and do in certain key respects provide similar services, but really there is little similarity.

My guess is that the best correlation is between drug use and STDs, though there probably is a correlation between local price, too. The more a lady is able to charge up to some point, the fewer clients she has to see, and the better she is able to care for herself. In Chicago, my guess is that point is in the $250-300 range, but that is just a guess. Below that, she is seeing a lot of guys, has little time between dates, and so her ability to care for herself, both in terms of time and money, is much less.

And, no, this is not a slam of BP girls, or a statement that paying more guarantees a better experience. Just trying to be clear on the various categories of providers in general terms.

The general question, how common, is pretty meaningless, if the numbers are actually 70% for streetwalkers and under 5% for escorts, giving us a meaningless average around 30%. Seems hard to imagine how an active and well-reviewed provider on TER could be passing around something and keep it quiet. And I do not think that is being overly optimistic. But if you go off the map, decide to TOFTT, increased risk of infection may be part of the risk you are taking on. So screen well and be careful.

They understand that protecting not only their health, but that of their guests is the most important aspect of this industry. Many well known and reviewed ladies are tested every couple months or more. When I was in the hobby full time a couple years ago, I was tested 4x a year. Now that I only play a little bit, and it is mostly massage, I get tested 2x a year. Of course if anything seems off I would go in to my doctor regardless, but luckily have never had a problem.

Happy Hobbying!
