That's a crummy thing to have happen. Knowing you could have booked someone else had you known you weren't going to see her is the real kicker.

On the other hand you're leaving the city a few $$$ richer than you would have been! That's what I've told myself the couple of times something like this has happened to me.

Past threads have indicated how flaky and unreliable she can be.  This is why I have not and will not ever book with her.  I'm sure her White Knights will come out in droves and defend her behavior.  Sure, she can make it up to you.  But, it should never get to that point anyway.

Bottom line - she took you for granted and treated you like shit.  Move on and see a provider who respects your time and is professional.

keep things like this from ruining my out of town trips - or at least keep it to a minimum. The younger one's don't care if they stand you up. I don't pick them anymore. I'm sure she's a bit older than she's listed at - most of them are - but I'm sure she's still a young-un! Plus, too many reviews and too many 10's ......! Her price range is a bit more attainable for the masses. When they have an assistant ..... obviously she's very popular! I prefer the lower volume provider or the one's with a few less reviews..... All these red flags have me moving on to find the more "dedicated" providers that won't blow you off, or are at least dedicated enough to follow through with an appointment if they committed to it. One young-un from Chicago even TOLD me once  that they don't care. They can make it up the next day because they have tons of email inquiries. I also only book at least 2 hour dates..........! It happens to me less now that I follow these guidelines! Sorry you had it happen to you. It does put a damper on a trip.

Provider (agent) excuse # 105

I'm sure if you've been at this for a while you've also heard the other 104 excuses, yet if the gals (agents) would just be honest with a john and not come up with this convoluted nonsense (but I suupose there are enough "dumb" johns who actually believe any of this crap), they would earn a ton more respect and not have threads like this expose them when things go south.

And CTP is 100% correct in his assessment of this situation.  And I would not be the least bit surprised to see the provider (agent) post here (or PM you directly) and offer up excuses  # 106-108.  And I am sure that they can be quite convincing, but really

Just be honest!  Give it a shot...it will work wonders.

Do you suppose that "Johnny" called and wanted a two or four hour appointment?  And you got blown off?  Hard to imagine that might be the case

It's amazing because I always thought business models worked on supply and demand. In theory, johns should be the ones "in power." Just like CTP, she is also on my do-not-see list. I don't care how many great reviews she has, but that level of disrecpect will keep me and many others away.

I am truly sorry this happened to you. There are plenty of Chitown ladies that would have treated you well....

Supply and demand is very much the rule of the day. And if she has lots of demand, then she can blow off an occasional date.  Just as in the real world, some people will cancel commitments if "something better" comes along. She said she was "just going to rest on Saturday", which meant that she either partied way too hard on Friday, or she had a client she preferred over you, and didn't want to tell you that.

I've had a woman cancel on me at the last minute several times, but I know her well enough to know that her excuses were real, and as disappointed as I was, I understood, and she always made it up to me.  The first time she did that, I wasn't sure though, and had I dropped her because of it, I would have lost an ATF.

I feel your pain

The harsh part of this is you have seen Audrey before.  I know the level of anticipation you were experiencing.  I most certainly understan your disapointment. I have never had anything less than responsive and professional interaction with Audrey and her asst. Brianna. But I have been in this hobby long enough to realize that ya always need a plan B that you feel good about.  Actually , Audrey was my plan B the first time I met her.  The lady I had originally booked became very iffy so I contacted Ms. Davis. Like you fell in love and she is a primary reason I hit Chicago now and then.  But even when I book with her I have someone else who I have established a connection with I can contact on short notice with a high expectation of seeing.  Your post is appropriate. It is the why the board has value.  The next time I head for Chicago I will most definitely try to hook up with Audrey.....I really don't think [ in spite of CTPs declaration ]she is any less reliable than any of the top ladies in the biz.  Hell....I suspect she has a better reliability history than most hobbyist.  It is the reality of the life we choose.

Good news for you: there are lots of great providers in Chi-town to choose from.

My personal opinion: you're nuts if you're gonna see her again, even though you are 100% in the right here.
