I am on the younger side (early 30's) as well and have had no issues with my age. Biggest issue will be verification. If you are goong to hobby in the area, RS2K verification will help. For out of town, I like ECCIE and P-411.

The only difference...

is getting questions or comments about your age and occasionally being subjected to age limits from certain providers.  I am younger than you and never had a problem because of that due to common sense with communication and scheduling, being discrete and having an overall respectful attitude with the lady.

I've had the same questions as you. I've been back and forth on getting verified through RS2K, mainly out of my own paranoia in their process.

learn the difference between a felony charge and a misdemeanor charge...could prove helpful after 8-24

Welcome! I'm one of those also younger than you. Hasn't really been a barrier. It was maybe 2 years ago when I was a lurker before I took the plunge, but now I don't see (or maybe I'm not interested in) that many ladies with ads that exclude me due to age. Just make sure to read a lady's website and always be polite, respectful, and act responsibly.

RS2K would be helpful in Chicago if you have no concerns about joining a verification service. It's trusted here as the de facto standard. U eventually took the plunge and got it, but I also have a handful of references that I prefer to use instead.

Welcome aboard! I also was keeping and eye on the Chicago board for about 2 months before I decide to make a move. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Join RS2K. It will help you a lot. As far as age goes, I am younger than you and my age was never an issue. Just remember, be polite, respectful, and most importantly be your self.
