I heard on WLS radio this afternoon that there was a huge "reverse  prostitution sting operation" in Aurora resulting in over 9 arrests. Has anybody heard any more about this???

How about a link?  I don't see anything on the cbs2chicago.com site.

In the link that Andrea posted is the very major referencing to underage.

I am not being hypocritical, but underage kids?  I may drink, but I would never serve it to minors.  I may hobby, but my fantasies are with women, not kids.  So for guys trying to get some from their cars, or trying to exploit kids, fuckem.

Where do you get underage?  There is nothing in the news articles about underage solicitation.  It was just some mongers looking for sex and they had marijuana.

What differentiates those who solicit streetwalkers and those who use escorts is for the most part the financial status.

With Sheriff Dart now a leading candidate for Mayor of Chicago, you can be damn sure that he will start making some very high profile arrests, and I ain't talking about a few bust outs and some street walkers.

I get the socio-economic thing of street hustling vs. whatever.  But bringing out in the open is just the reason LE and their backers go after this.

I believe that the overwhelming majority of people here rightfully detest child abuse of all kinds. These scum bags needed to be busted.  Children are our future, and must be protected.  Here's the rub:  We adults who are trying to enjoy meeting other adults in a consentual fashion.  There is no coercion, no deception, no funny business, just consenting adults enjoying our civil liberties.  I realize that there are exceptions to that rule, but that's not the standard.   These crazy radical groups all know that there are already laws that forbid coersion, deception, and force regarding all aspects of society.  Dart, Polaris, and End Demand are using the child angle to sweep everyone under the rug.  "There's money and power in them thar hills!"   We need activism to draw a distinction between what we are about, and what they want people to think we're about, or we'll lose.  There are several large organized groups that are for legalizaton.  The Libertarian Party, the ACLU, etc.  Just google the subject, research and join.  Power in numbers.

Thank you ChiAndrea, that is a great link, and perspective.  Do you think New Zealand's model is something that could work here?  I think that the ACLU takes on issues case by case.  They also have some internal conflict with the issue.  They claim to support the legalization of prostitution, but also appear to support CEDAW.
