Well, I think that you are probably okay, but you can always be tested if you are that worried. I guess that you could get a cold sore from kissing or a cold maybe, but if all you did was kiss and everything else was protected, I wouldn't worry. Try going to a spa that offers self service next time if you are going to worry about it.

Kissing a mouth probably won't give you more than a cold sore. But what kind of herpes is an interesting question, there are several kinds, & they all spread the same for the most part (nit pickers can have their fun....... now! haha) Did you know you could get a yeast infection in your mouth???? Rare, but true.

For the best & most reliable information I would either go to known sites like (& it's cheesy......) plannedparenthood.com (.org?) or drdrew.com (cheesy radio show guy) or better yet, go to askjeeves.com & ask what ever combination of questions & you'll get back some interesting facts. Just make sure that you get your information from a reputable source, not a adult orientated board like this one. There are many osterichs hanging out on these boards.

Either way, do your homework & get the facts. Play safe in all you do & you'll have a great, worry free time!
