Happens quite a bit...

When they don't screen ahead of time, you can assume it's first come first served. These girls are the ones likely to get busted.

I had this happen with a very reputable VIP provider early on in my newbie days. It was more my fault than hers but it was a waste of a good hour driving and circling waiting for the call back. If they decide not to see us at the last second, common courtesy would be to at least text or call and say "no" so we don't drive around aimlessly. I can accept a last minute decision not to see me but leaving us hanging is rude and should be called out.

I scheduled a meeting with Kit, an Asian provider near O'Hare, last night.  She has decent reviews.  She didn't ask for my name or any other information on the phone for verification, which I thought was strange.  She said to drive to Mannheim and Irving Park and to call her when I got there.

So I called her when I arrived at that intersection, about 10 minutes before the appt., and it took her several minutes to answer.  After she finally did answer and asked where I was at, she told me to hang on for a minute and then she hung up.  I tried calling back several times over the next 20 minutes and she never answered.

I thought this was extremely rude, particularly given that I had to drive for 30 minutes to get to this area.  Anyone else experienced anything this rude?  I'm somewhat new and haven't seen many providers.  I've noticed that posters here tend to be repeaters and aren't always receptive to questions from novices, but I would definitely appreciate some responses and/or advice.  Thanks.

I believe the whole "2 call system" is becoming the norm.  I think guys are doing a lot more fishing around, setting up appointments, continuing to fish and finding one more suitable and then not informing the first girl of the cancellation.  To protect themselves I think the girls are telling everyone who calls to come over and then make the 2nd call upon their arrival.  Whoever shows up first gets the appointment, and while she is occupied everyone else gets the voicemail.

Thank you for outing her name, there are way too many people on this board who vent but won't out the girls name who wasted their time.

It happens all the time, part of the game. Some of it is probably legit, an innocent scheduling error or whatever. I think a lot of it is the general flakiness of the women in this business. A waste of time and a disappointment but really no bigee.

These are the women you should avoid. Poor screening will land you in the drunk tank with real criminals. If she doesn't care to know who's coming over, any ass-wipe will do. Chances are she overbooked and you got the short straw. Up your choices in providers. Sure, it might cost you more, but you'll usually come for what you wanted.

I really appreciate all of your responses and advice.  I should have added that I called her about 1.5 hours before the appt. time.

A lot can change in an hour and a half. Hell, a lot can change during the drive over. I had 3 NCNS's within 1/2 hour of the appointments AND after talking with them and telling them I was on my way AND being told to come over. Last minute jitters on the provider's part? Possibly, but a provider who doesn't screen isn't very reliable either. At least that's what I've concluded. My guess is that the ladies who invest time checking us out want to keep the appt. to get that screening investment back.

Good luck in the future. It happens, not much we can do about it except be as reliable as possible on our part.
