If every day were Valentines Day…

It amazes me that it takes certain holidays to instill social consciousness.. In our busy lives, it takes certain holidays to remind us of the things that should mean the most to us.

If every day was Christmas, we would spend 365 days a year living the spirit of Christmas. People would be happier and have more hope. They would greet their fellow humans on the street with kindness. They would find charity in their hearts and goodwill towards their fellow men. They would do something nice for their neighbors, remember their friends with cards and letters and volunteer to help the less fortunate. We would remember our troops who are abroad and send care packages to them.

If every day was Thanksgiving, we would spend 365 days being thankful for the many blessings in our lives. We would look at the our blessings rather than concentrate on what was lacking. We would remember the blessing of having friends and family who love us. We would remember that we live in a country where we have individual freedoms, not shared by other nations, and know that, while not perfect, America is a wonderful place to live.

If every day were Mother’s Day, we would not take for granted the love of a mother. We would thank our mother’s daily for the love and support that they provided us throughout our youth and their patience and understanding. We would remember to call our mothers more often and let them know how much we love and care for them and how their love has enriched our lives. We would cherish our mother’s memories when they pass and be thankful for their guidance in our lives.

If every day were Father’s Day, we would be thankful for all that our father’s have done for us in our lives. We would remember our father returning home from a hard day at work and still making time to sit with us and talk and find out about our lives. We would remember our father throwing the ball and playing catch with us. Of his pride when we graduated high school and then college. We would remember that sometimes stoic figure who kept many of his emotions masked, as that was how many fathers were, but whose pride in our accomplishments we grew to understand.

If every day was Veteran’s Day, we would never forget the brave men and women who serve our country to keep it safe. We would never forget the soldiers who gave their lives for our country and who were willing to protect our country and our liberties.

If every day was Valentine’s Day, we would remember to show love to our family and friends. We would keep romance alive in our hearts and minds. We would never take for granted the love of the people around us and would return that love with thoughtful gestures and kindness. This would include our lovers, our children, our parents and dear friends. We would bring flowers, candy and buy cards for our loved ones unexpectedly and for no other reason than to say I love you.

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day. A day that many of us spent time out at dinner with our loved ones, buying flowers, candy and cards. But, if tomorrow was also Valentines Day, and the next day, and the next day… we would remember to keep love alive and show the people we love how much we care.

Lets try to keep the holidays, each and every one of them, alive in our hearts all year long.

I love your post. Just love it. Don't know you but would like to someday.

This is why I love this lady's mind as much as her beautiful face and magnificent body. Thank's, Sin, for making us thing about our true blessings. May every day be Valentine's Day for all my lovers and our community.

I really appreciate your writings. I would like to pass this message along to others, including people outside the hobby. Can I and if so how should I acknowledge who the author is? Synthia perhaps?

but would recommend that you copy the version I wrote on Escort Blogs as I added New Years.

Unfortunately had I updated this version,  it would have goe into the queue for moderator review, a system glitch, or gone over the character limit.

You are welcome to use Cynthia, Cindy, or whatever handle you wish to use to share it.  I am glad you like it.
