I am seeking advice on the best way to get back into the hobby. I have been away from the hobby for a little over ten years (was in a serious relationship that eventually ended). Now, I find myself wanting to get back in the hobby. I just got my P411 verification. I was RS2K verified when it was for a lifetime. I am not sure if RS2K would still hoor that verification now? I even attended the Kelly Shannon meet&greets. I noticed when looking at provider adds, most require P411 verification and at least two to three provider references. Any advice on how I should navigate through the waters now? I am not sure that any of the providers that I saw in the past would remember me? Help. I want to get back into the hobby. Take care, Markman60.
I am not as active as I used to be (more sugar babies than escorts these days) but I notice that a lot of the ads require deposits. I would never send anyone money before seeing her, so I just move on to the next listing.
I was a lifetime member of RS2K, but didn't renew after Cathy retired. I did inquire with the new owner if they were honoring lifetime memberships and was told no. Everyone has to pay the annual fee now. Even with RS2K and/or P411, some providers will still require personal information for screening so it's up to you if you want to jump through more hoops or not.
As stated in other replies, its unlikely the new owners at RS2K will honor your prior membership.
I was nine months into my membership when I was told by a provider, who prefers one year of RS2K membership, that she had been unable to verify me. When I contacted RS2K, I was told they had no record of my membership. Despite sending RS2K my nine month old confirmation email from Cathy, I was required to restart my membership. When I asked that they back date the membership so that I could visit the provider (which meant that I would need to renew sooner), they refused. Many providers will verify on a redacted copy of your drivers license (most like to see the photo, name and DOB). Others will accept a Linkedin profile. Or, some proof of employment.
There are some providers that will accept P411 verification. See a few, build up some Oks and politely ask them for references if you need to.
After not hobbying for five years, it was not easy to get back into it for the reasons you listed. One suggestion, make sure you and the provider have are comfortable with the level of information needed. Example: If the provider requests employment information and you are comfortable with that give it, if you are not don't and don't push for them to drop the requirement. I had a couple of cases where after the initial conversation I found out about a next level of requirement, which was fair on the providers end, and politely backed out (my references were too old even though the person was still active). It is not easy. I am having challenges but with effort and patience, it will work.
What do you feel the biggest hurdles are? I would think many would be reluctant to give employment information for fear their superiors would find out. Was never really active in the hobby but in those days you could have a decent time for about 200. Most are much more than that now. Not only that but there are now many more that are requiring advance deposits which I do not wish to do.
So screening is how we keep safe it's never 100% just like anything in life . we do have other ways to screen and keep the info safe and discard after screening has been done and appt booked
