Hi all... I'm sure as you know, the economy over the past year has been bad. And if you know people who were caught up in the economic woes of late, you will also know that in spite of what you might read in the press, the economic recovery is not happening overnight.

You might have seen the Salon article on FrugalJohn.com, which is a site dedicated to promoting providers who have established rates that factor in these hard times (no pun intended). The only requirement for listing on the site is that you have a rate of $200 or less for a minimum of a 45min. appointment, no upselling. Most ladies on FrugalJohn list a rate of $200 for a 60min. session. So far, the site concentrates on listings in California, but I have been corresponding with the admin of the site, and he says he would love to establish a Chicago board for the site, he simply needs a minimum of 5 ladies to list.

I know from various chat rooms here that the hobbyists of Chicago would love to see a Chicago FrugalJohn.com board, and I have a feeling that many providers would welcome the increased business generated by competitive market pricing. I have no desire to debate the worth of a provider's time, providers should always feel free to charge what they want, what they feel they are worth, and what the market will bear. However, I am also certain, having living in San Francisco, that Chicago is a very pricy market compared to other US Locations, and this would provide many hobbyists a choice of providers who understand the free market economy.
