After reading all the comments in the MN thread, a lot of the comments were right on target.  What I would add to those comments is this;   when leaving how do you feel for the service, time and money spent?   do you feel great or now regret spending X amount for the service because you just spent a good chunk of your weekly budget?    For the latter I am thinking that they are kicking themselves and wondering why they spent so much and do not feel that it was very economical.   I think if you are comfortable and have the disposable income to use and not affect your living expenses then I would tend to believe that one would feel they received an economic value

They are written be a brilliant U of C Economics Professor. He looks at the economics of day to day things. In particular in Super he deals a lot with prostitution. A Chicago escort "Allie" talks about, among other things, how her business went up when she raised her prices and put a lot less strain on her body.

That's the point of their conversation. If you want to charge a high price, you better create a higher level of value to support it. Other wise your customers will flee you. Humans are pretty cheap to rent. In places like Europe, Thailand and South America you can find ladies that are younger and hotter. That is why overseas sex tourism is so popular.

maybe a statistics nerd can get to work on this and publish the results with Lamont's findings!!

The documentary by the same name is great as well, for those not into heavier reading. The books are pretty great though.
