Thanks for the laugh.

Hi Chicago Hobbyists,

Something disasterous happened.  I lost my phone and all of the contact info I have accumulated for the last six months.  I'm trying to get as much of it back as possible one person at a time.  If I have had a chance to meet with you sometime this year after April, will you please let me know?  I'd like to get your information again.  Especially if you ever want a referral or if you would like for me to let you know when I'm coming to town.  This is such a huge bummer.  I bought a new phone 6 days ago.  It's extremely unlikely that my other one will turn up.  I was so dependant on my phone.  Everything was in the phone.  I feel so lost now when somebody calls.  The first thing I ask is, "do I know you?"
I appreciate your help if you can give it.

By the way, I have new photos on my website listed below...

No offense but keeping contact info in your phone is scary. Now it's lost and someone out there has a list of all your guys' phone numbers and/or email addresses. I sure hope LE didn't pick it up and I really hope no one gave you any real contact info.

Ladies, please don't keep our info in your phones after we leave. Personally, I don't mind if you keep my untraceable hobby phone number but a lot of guys do mind. Guys, this is yet another reason not to give out your real info if at all possible.

once again exposed that the gals (and agencies) keep this info...somewhere.  And more often than not it is in a smart phone system.

Yet you'll still have gals post that they DO NOT keep this info...but time and time again this proves NOT to be the case.  And of course some gals will profess not to lump all of them in this bucket. But for those of us who have been around a while, it is painfully obvious that the MAJORITY (meaning all) continue this practice.

We often tell those just starting out to use "hobby phones" and "hobby email" accounts, but as you said many don't.  And this gals misfortune can now be used in a myriad of ways that may come back and bite someone in the butt!

A locked file cabinet that I keep at my residence and it's a little annoying to not have my files with my secret information with me at all times.  For instance, I just had two girls call me to ask for referrals and I had to ask if they could ask the client who was using me as a reference a little bit of personal information such as, the last time and place they saw me or if anything funny happened that would jog my memory due to not having my files on me.  I think everyone benefits from a small file cabinet with information that can be easily shredded, burned, eaten, whichever way you find best to erase that you ever met them.

Just my .02.
