Oh my goodness, the cold plus extra showering is being not so nice to my skin!

Athletes, providers, anyone who showers extra, howwww on earth do you keep your skin baby soft?

Lush makes 2 kinds, Ro's Argon, and African something or other.  Quite frankly, they aren't cheap and I make my own.  google "home-made in-shower lotion" and you'll find a whole lot of recipes.  It's basically essential oils of your choice, cocoa and or shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil, maybe some vegetable glycerin. melt it all together, whip it up, and slap it in a jar.  put it on right before you're finished showering. it's best to let your skin air-dry, but if you towel-dry, just dab your skin. Don't wipe.

Also, eating things like avocados, yogurt, nuts, etc help your skin stay soft too.

Good luck!

Guests compliment my skin all the time and that's what I use on them and myself in the shower or bath.
Don't wait til you are out and dry. Use while still in the water.

I use Lush Buffy and I am soft as can be!

It is a lifesaver in the winter months - but be careful, cause the lotion bar can make your shower super duper crazy slippery - but is is sooo worth it!

Now if the incredible Ms. Black has a way to make that - PLEASE LET A WOMAN KNOW!  I would adore you more than I already do!

XOXO,
Elle

It's super simple.  let me dig out my recipe.

Here it is! This recipe makes a pretty big bar.. I repurpose old jars and tubs as molds; you can also use an ice-cube tray for a bunch of little guys.

1/2 c cocoa butter
1/2 c shea butter
1/4 c coconut oil
2 tbsp jojoba oil
1tsp vitamin e oil
10-20 drops of essential oils of choice
2 tsp beeswax (please be gentle with this stuff.  I accidentally use too much all the time. It still works, but its a bit tougher to get it to melt)
1/4-1/2 c almond meal, oatmeal, or other scrubby stuff that isn't sugar or salt (i use almond meal)

melt the shea butter, cocoa butter, and wax together in a double boiler. melt completely; add essential oils.  add scrubby stuff and stir.  Pour into a mold, and let set.  i throw mine in the freezer.  Once it's set, run some hot water over the back of the mold, and your homemade goodness will be yours for the using.

Homemade by hookers. gotta love it

Try Eucerin or a similar petroleum-free lotion; apply it after you shower before you dry off, then pat dry.  Hope this helps!
