What is your favorite location to play in Chicagoland and why?regular_smile

Let's liven up the board a bit and talk about something! :)

Do you have a location you prefer to play in the Chicagoland area?
Aka, northwest suburbs
West burbs
Downtown
South Suburbs, etc etc etc

Some towns/areas I like when I want to host in a calm/quiet area vs a hustle and bustle, city life area. I like both, but some suburbs are great for the social aspect, shopping, and nice hotels. Others, like downtown, are great for nightlife or the continual amazing scenery of the architecture.

Some areas are great for dinner dates & overnights, others are great for shorter dates, some are great for hanging out afterward, etc.

I agree with you, the City and the Suburbs, each have things going for them. The burbs are getting better restaurants now.  
It really depends where I will be at that time, or where I get get to without the traffic problems.  
I’ve hung out afterwards just a few times with some ladies that I’ve clicked with. The City (downtown) wins for that due to options and proximity.  
To answer the question, I do not have a favorite. Do you??

Agreed. Some places are super cool if you drive. Downtown is great for when you dong want to drive.  

It depends for me, for dinner dates & shopping, I like oak brook. For overnights, dinner dates, or just to pretend we’re going out for an exciting night / vacation, spas, or cat cafe’s... downtown. There’s so much to do

But there are tons of cool places all over the suburbs. Casinos, strip clubs, shooting ranges, parks, rivers, camping...

I’m a pre planner, but downtown Chicago has been great for spontaneity

I say Schaumburg area only for convenience,  I usually have a small window of availability and driving to city from elgin area is to much.
Ohare area ok but hotel parking fees are crazy.
As long as I am outside the city I'm happy.

I get to Chicago to play with my ATF twice a year. In the summertime visit Schaumburg and Mag Mile around the Holidays.

Downtown because I live in the city and it’s a hassle to commute to the suburbs and back especially if you don’t time it right with traffic and weather is bad with rain/snow/ice.
