Hinckley Prison Release: You might recall that John Hinckley was a seriously deranged young man who shot President Reagan in 1981. Hinckley was absolutely obsessed with movie star Jodie Foster and, in his twisted mind, loved Jodie to the point that to make himself well known to her, he attempted to assassinate President Reagan. There is speculation Hinckley may soon be released as having been rehabilitated. Consequently, you will appreciate the following letter from Nancy Reagan to John Hinckley. We all could learn so much from this elegant and gracious lady:
To: John Hinckley From: Mrs. Nancy Reagan My family and I wanted to drop you a short note to tell you how pleased we are with the great strides you are making in your recovery. In our country's spirit of understanding and forgiveness, we want you to know that we bear no grudge against you for shooting Ronnie. We are fully aware that mental stress and pain could have driven you to such an act of desperation. We're confident that you will soon make a complete recovery and return to your family to join the world again as a healthy and productive man. Best wishes, Nancy Reagan & Family P.S. While you have been incarcerated, Barack Obama has been banging Jodie Foster like a screen door in a tornado. You might want to look into that.
That letter is nice but it does little to make up for the simple fact that Raegan was one of the three worst presidents in the 20th century (along with W & Hoover). Raegonomics- (so called trickle down economics) has been the largest contributing factor to the economic inequalities we have been struggling with for over 35 years.
Your comment re President Obama is highly offensive. Here is a man who has pulled the economy back from the brink of depression that was brought about by the trickle down policies of your hero Ronnie Raegan. He has provided millions of people with a chance at getting health care coverage for the first time in their life. Your ignorant response is to wish Hinkley will somehow go after President Obama ? Maybe the Secret Service might be interested ? I could not stand Ronnie BUT I never hoped he would be assassinated. God you people on the right need to be driven out of our once respectable political system. Shame on you & your right wing ideology.

You have my sincerest apology. I re-read your post & see where it was meant as satire. Actually very funny satire at that. I'm normally not naive/dumb enough to misconstrue but I did in this case & I feel like an idiot for doing so. It should have been a hint to think that Nancy Raegan would ever write such a letter. I think I'm a bit hypersensitive because of all the idiotic right wing comments by citizens & the corporate media that have been made.
