I'm not the best looking guy, but I am confused. There seem to ve a lot of "Companions" who are not that attractive. Why would I pay for companionship, if the women is less attracive than anyone I could pick up in a crappy bar? Thoughts? Opinions? I don't mean to offend, but I have a lot of drinks in me, so I figured I'd ask what I've been thinking for a long time.
I think that we all have filters as to what are preferences are. "Beauty is in the eye"...well ya know.
If your game is that tight...hey go for the bar scene. For me, the hobby is the fantasy that is not tied to the structure of a "dating/fuck buddy" relationship. Finally, and this is my opinion, I find the providers I have been with attractive, but I am more interested in how they make me feel sexually.
So hey, pay the cash for the woman of your dreams, or throw down your best rap at some of slim goodie at the bar scene, or do as we all have done, get a slammin video, some Abolene or Vaseline and let Rosy Palms and her five sisters, or Fistine take care of ya and save the ducats.

If you're really having a crisis of "faith", you need to ask your questions on both sides of the fence and then think it through for yourself.
Not sure what catalogs you are doing your shopping in, but you get to choose, don't you? If you are okay with the body and do not have an idea what the face looks like, then spend your time and money with those ladies that don't hide their faces. Unlike a bar, in most cases these ladies will leave little to the imagination when it comes to the deed whereas chasing that potential crackhead in a bar, you are more likely headed for a different kind of trouble. I personally think you pay a lot less, for a lot less hassle. In cases where your appetite is larger than your wallet only you can judge for sure how much you can spend and not forego other responsibilities. As far as your looks, most ladies can give a rat's ass. So long as your hygiene is intact and you have cash, you'll get only a few who won't want to play. If within the first minute you think this is not for you, give the lady a small gift and leave. Too many of us stay because we're too afraid to say we made a mistake.
Well, I guess everyone is in the game for a different reason. I am in this for the variety. I am married, I just need something different every once and a while.
I had a little something on the side last summer, and I felt horrible. I was always paranoid that my wife would find out about my other relationship somehow. I couldn’t sleep, and was grinding my teeth like crazy. I finally ended that relationship and now stick to the hobby. If you do it right this is a lot less stressful (never have to worry about a jealous girlfriend calling the wife or any of that bs).

I have had mine "on the side" from time to time. Once a secretary I worked with, another a saleswoman/vendor, and a few of varying levels of physicality from the bar scene (here and overseas).
I can tell you from experience that (a) woman who do not care that you are taken/married whatever and will let you in their pants are often pretty messed up/drama seekers, (b) you DO NOT want your sig other to find out, even if you think it does not matter anymore, (c) you will worry about it until you cannot sleep (what will happen to those pics I stored in a hidden subdirectory if I got run over by a truck tomorrow? What if my wife can "smell her" on me? etc. God forbid, what if I get her pregnant? Will she have an abortion, or decide to keep the baby? What if I get a disease from her an pass it on to wifey? THAT would be hard to explain!
You just do not get these issues with professional friends, at least not good ones. This may be a little harsh, but paraphrasing Pretty Woman - you are paying her to leave after, not to f*Hk. Funny how wrong our "morals" laws have that isn't it?
As for looks ... there are plenty of women who do not charge a ton of money and are easily top 5% in looks. Many are independants, some are in good quality agencies like secretly-yours and michelles.
But yes, when I first started the hobby I was pretty disappointed. That was before TER and the other sites though and now there is less excuse for getting bad providers. Anywya, if it wasn't for a gorgeous, slim, hot, young, blond who I got on a lark at 2am in my office who blew me away I might have quit altogether (I never did find her again after that she kind of disappeared, sigh).
There are a LOT of pros who are past their prime, not very sexy, not into it, wasted, badly out of shape, etc. Many more who are just not honest so you are disappointed regardless because expectations are not met. I would say out of 10 I would see when I started out, 5 were terrible (often I could not even do the deed), 4 were average to below average, and 1 was decent not too great.
Then I found Michelles, and after that S-Y and I stuck with them for a time. When one of their girls left the agency I started seeing her as an indy.
Then I found some great independents...
So what I am trying to say is, over time you will find the women that you like/prefer or will find agencies you trust. Read the reviews, they are great helps. Remember that no one likes to give a girl who is trying a bad review, so you have to read between the lines. Look for consistently glowing reviews.
that is the beauty of the hobby, it is suited for all different mens types.
Trust me babes, I have had people say I am too big for them and others who say I am too small for them. Then there are the ones who say I am too old for them or too young. Ladies here range from all shapes/sizes, differing hair/eye colors, as well as a plethera of ages ranging from barely legal to mature.
Everone has different desires in the sex department, so don't think for one min that the general cookie cutter Barbie type is the cure all for erections...
Be glad you have choices, and so much variety. You know what they say, "Sometimes you feel like a blond, sometimes you don't"
