Just wondering what people would suggest as must see and must do Chicago experiences?

Thus far I have only a couple must do items on my list. I'm *in love* with The Redhead Piano Bar so must get back to it one evening; Who would have thunk - A redhead loving a bar with the name redhead in it? I know where Nordstrom shoe department is and I've discovered all of the lovely little leather accessory shops along Michigan Avenue. After shopping is done and after I've tied one on at the piano bar I've got nothing! lol What else should I plan to do? I consider myself a wanna-be foodie so would love to sit down at one of Chicago's Top Chef style restaurants in the Downtown area. Casual daytime eatery suggestions are welcome too. I *love* to walk so if you know of any historical routes I should be sure to catch you can shout those out to me too! Almost forgot - awesome annual summer events that I should be sure to get to or to be sure to plan around. ; )

do not miss restaurants Chicago

When in Chicago you will have an unbelievably good time and meal at the purple pig on Michigan av Another absolutely do not miss is the girl in the goat on Randolph but you need to get reservations now for your visit in July.
Some great old standard that are the best in the nation shaws crab house eat in the oyster bar not the restaurant on Hubbard. One of the all-time classiest restaurants in the city is Joe's Stone crab on rush.
Chicago is truly a great and fun city for restaurants when you get ready to go out you want to go to the rooftop at the wit.

Chicago advice

If you like the Red Head Piano Bar also try Pops for Champaign. For a 'jeans & t-shirt' good Chicago joint for crab legs try the Half Shell on Diversey. If you like prime rib, try Lawreys on Ontairo St.

As said above, Shaws on Hubbard is awesome! And in the oyster bar they have live music on weekends. Plus right next door is a good jazz bar called Danny's.

Great steaks right next to your piano bar. Architectural river/lake cruise. Nike Town. L/L Tavern worlds greatest dive bar. Have fun, great city!
