As some know, I'm trying to make Chicago my second home with varying success. I'm planning a trip shortly and well, one of my clients said that he wouldn't be able to see me on my last day in town because of the St. Patrick's Day celebrations all through the downtown area.
Now, I know that I've asked questions about cultural events, etc., on this forum ... NOW, I need to know about these parades and the such. I'm thinking that I need to be out of downtown that day. Or should I plop my happy little bottom in downtown and enjoy?
Is there more of a LE presence during this time? How "wild" is this parade overall? Do the hotels fill up during this time with out of town folks who attend this gathering?
I'm still learning about your town, obviously!
Thanks, in advance, for your help and suggestions.
