I'm searching for a reason clients call and set up appointments with various providers and cancel at the last minute. Some are verified members to pre-screening websites. Once in a while they get the itch to make an appointment just to cancel it! WHY??? All I want are good clients that can keep an appointment, just as clients want good providers. I think we need to review clients.

We all know that there are factors in our personal lives that may interfere, and result in cancellations. However, I'm with you on cancelling at the last minute. I don't think it's fair or very professional to cancel at the last minute. At least give a few days notice.

Now as for reviewing clients, I've also thought about that system too. It would be beneficial for providers to use. But I doubt TER will ever install such a review system. I'm pretty sure RS2K allows providers to leave comments under a gent's profile, good or bad.

And that means if you are the A contact and get back to John quick enough he will plan on seeing you.  But if you are C and he confirms with you...and then A or B contacts him for the same time slot, well...you are out of luck.  Is this a common practice?  Amongst certain hobbyists, yes it is.  That is just how they go about their business.  But this does cut both ways as well.  And the posts here document that providers are notorious for similar transgressions.

There could be a legitimate reason why a guy will bail, just as the opposite is true for the gals.  But all too often it is simply a lack of morals (as I see it) on both sides.

And as far as reviewing your clients...have you gotten your account set up for the "providers only board" yet?  We had discussed this with you several months ago, and hopefully you followed thru and are now active there.  Let others know about Johnny's NCNS or last minute bail on you.  Unfortunately in this biz there are just too many "flakes" on both sides of the envelope.  Do your back channeling on Johnny and see if he has a history of "cancelling".  Seems that might be a way to at least minimize that problem (as many of us do the same for the gals who NCNS).

I think this is more of a psychological question.. Some people are just flakes and can't keep their own commitments. (I'm staying away from the 'something came up' argument in my discussion; that happens, and is always a small but constant part of the hobby on both ends)

Otherwise, how far in advance are these guys scheduled? If they are several days (or more than a week out), do you confirm again the day before as well as the day of? I know RS2k members can be verified in minutes, so are they instead more impulse buyers (ie: booked a last minute appointment) that are also last minute flakes?

I'm curious as the answers might explain things. Verification sites only say we're safe, they don't really speak as to character. I know it's upsetting when a cancellation happens, but if it's a once in a while thing that's simply a constant that you have to write off as being a part of the business. Some ladies have cancellation fees and policies (ie: if you rebook me again, you will have to put down a deposit, pay an extra $X, whatever). If it's happening more than "usual" (you might have to ask ladies what that word means) then we start looking at outside factors (are you just attracting a certain 'type' based on your ads)?

Just some thoughts.

unless they are traveling that day and have delays, etc. Of course it does happen every once in a while. I attribute this to my stringent screening process. I require one provider reference with RS2K and a min of 2 provider refs otherwise. If they have good refs, I am able to establish a history of respectfulness in many aspects, IMHO. I don't do employment screening and last min cancellations is one of the reasons. I am unable to verify that they have a history of any kind with that type of screening.

No sane man would cancel

I just started doing incalls. Silly me thought that a simple rs2k screening would be enough. I have never experienced this with outcalls. I will take your advice, thanks so much!

I did get a couple of those that had a reputation or did this before... I took a risk and got burned this time. However, that is not always the case. I have seen some that have had gotten a bad rep over one past cancellation, but were fine for me. I guess I have more curiosity as to why some people do this on a constant with all providers... crazy and nothing better to do I guess.

It is SO SO INCREDIBLY frustrating for a guy to book a time and then NCNS. Not only do you lose HIS donation but now you've lost the donation and time with the clients you could have booked then. My policy was that if a person NCNS or was 20 minutes late, I never answered his calls again. I stressed that when booking with them. That drastically cut down my cancellations.

cancellation/last min cancellation/NCNS rate of pretty much anywhere.  

What really sucks is the guys who book and then last min cancel/NCNS a girl who has to get a room for incall.  You all may think we are busy busy making hand over fist money so it is no big deal to you.  The reality in this economy is you were the only date she had all day, the room was gotten just for you and now she is in the hole for the day out the 100$ for the room and when you are asked for a cancellation fee you balk at the idea.  Those are the ladies I feel bad for, the ones who leave tours here in the hole because they are booked solid and then all but 3 guests cancel.  

Guy, I lust you all but do us girls a favor PLEASE....  Know your schedule before you book, if you are unsure get preverified by the ladys in question have a primary and a back up so when you know your schedule you can just call and be in there with the primary or backup.  

Last Min cancellations are pretty much the same think as a NCNS....  Why?  We know it takes 30-60 mins to get to us yet call us 5mins till session time canceling, it is noted and the likelyhood of scoring another date with most is diminished and you may even be reported for it.

Let me say, these are not my personal issues.  I have set incall, don't tour, and see mostly returns so the last min cancel thing as well as NCNS are tiny % of my schedule.  However, I am privy to how other ladies see the guys here....

I'm sure there are plenty of beautiful ladies that do get cancellations. Shit happens in life and sometimes we just can't keep an appointment (both sides). Of course I am very appreciative if a gent emails at all to let me know his schedule has changed or something has come up. Now a NCNS will get you on my DNS list so fast your head will spin

Glad I could help! I think a lot of ladies have the view that they just want to know if the gent isn't LE, but screening can be useful for so many other things- like weeding out time wasters
