Call Madeline Rose. If anyone knows what to do in this town, it's her!!! And you can tell her I said so (LOL)

This is my first time downtown at Christmas and I am in awe of how beautiful evrything is! Can someone give me some suggestions as to what I should see this holiday season? I don't have enough experience with Chicago to know.Like for example, in New York, the Rockefeller Center for iceskating, and the tree lighting-so those kinda things. Or restaurants that offer fare that is seasonal. I love experiencing things 100%-so any info and help would be appreciated. Happy Holidays!

Love,
Piper

Seeing that your downtown, I would suggest the following: Millineum Park (outdoor ice skating & the bean)  and Art Institute or any to the museums near by,  Daley Center (Picasso and X-mas tree), Macy's (seventh floor, Walnut Room). Hope this is a help.  PM if you have any questions.

State Street and Water Tower Place for shopping too. The Walnut Room is a longstanding tradition in Chicago

Anyone who would come to Chicago from AZ at this time of year must have a "S" on their chest.

Well, its CRAZY cold here right now, but Michigan Avenue is a must.

Get a drink from the top of the Hancock Tower after dark - beautiful view!

FYI - The best view is from the ladies restroom - and no, that's not a dirty joke!

Go see a Blackhawks game!  Best show in Chi-town!

Also check out the ChristKindlmarket at Daley Plaza.  Good place to find that unique gift idea, and I hear the pretzels are awesome.  I hope to make it there myself this holiday season.
