What type of music do you like playing lightly in the background?

I love my pandora radio, I have it set up to play sultry blues, jazz, 70's and 80's genres as well. I have a couple of heavy metal friends who just love it when we rock out with his cock out.
So I was curious, what type of music do you like to hear during your special time with a lady.

I'm with Beaver... I don't really care what it on.  I find that I end up completely focusing it out anyway.  I'll usually tell the lady to put on what she prefers.

Something quiet or no music at all. One of the things that drives me nuts about porn is how much of it has all the sex noises overdubbed with music. I'd rather hear the sound of genitals rubbing genitals or the sound of my provider shaking and grunting while I'm lapping at her clit.

Just trying to lighten things up and make friends.
Thanks for all your comments.

...this might be the most civil discussion in quite a while here on Chicago.  :-)

L7 you make my shit list!

All kidding aside mazzy star and Aimee Mann are very romantic but for more upbeat riding music Flyleaf, deftones queens of the stone age (Josh has an expansive idea of a providers lifestyle. Little sister hah!) Evans blue, veruca salt, jimmy eat world, sublime, garbage.

I think this post is a drain hole for my opinions since I am such a fan of all musicians and all lyricists as well as their chords and beats. Speaking of drummers forgot Tool but uh might scare boys away.  Does metal scare dudes? I find the tension erotic. Oh yeah nirvana! Old Amsterdam imports preferebly.

But hard shit makes me hyper and horny.

Loud and hard!

Liars club on Fullerton on a certain floor.

Just call and take me out and I will make sure it's worth it! Oh plus I'm pretty.

Convince me to not piss em off!

While I'm at It Chevelle from our own grey's lake and the small but efficiently vocal and sarcastic Chicago's own local h!

I feel like a fucking radio dj. I'm done slackers! Find someone else to be weird to now!

Sorry everyone...

You provide some beats and I'll cut out the chords and include the lyrics!

Are you pulling my chord ?

Sultry is always a good choice, especially in jazz. You want to go with instrumental, since lyrics can distract from the mood. I've never tried doing it to metal, but I'm guessing it would be fun--I only fear that it might affect my pace a bit. It's funny, like most of the others who've commented here, I didn't really like music during a date, but since my last experience with Sage (with music) I've had the unexpected bonus of getting rock hard every time I hear the song from "Evita." If that Pavlovian response keeps up, I might save a fortune on Viagra when I reach that point.

I'm a big music fan and enjoy some music playing in the background. Blues, jazz, classical, Dead, classic rock, hard rock...it's all good. I have a few playlists of my own that I like to bring with me on appointments, but I'm always open to listening to what my partner enjoys. I just added a bunch of Van Morrison to a new playlist and it's becoming a favorite. I find that music enhances the atmosphere as you go thru the foreplay and the cuddling afterwards, During the heat of the action it's not as important. I'd rather have your thighs on my had than heddphones.

As long as it's not hip hop/rap, any genre of music if fine with me.  I have a broad taste in music, but usually once the session gets started, I often don't remember what music is playing in the background. LOL

I even have a bit of Barry White, Jazz, indie relaxing to mid-range blues.  Try to keep it lowered so it isn't distracting, but is more of white noise in the backround.  Stark nothing is hard for me, conversation doesn't flow as well in recovery and there is no rhythm  to try to use to stay in the right groove(this has been a problem and I have been damaged a couple times when my partner and I ended up in different rhythms, which is not fun and HURTS pretty much messing up the rest of the session.  There is just no way to recover from a broken kitkat, and no you can't lick it to help it feel better, that HURTS!!!)

That is just my take from 10yrs plus experience and has worked out well.  As another mentioned it can really set you to thinking and recollecting well when you hear a certain song.  That is always a great side effect, Sage

It kinda depends upon my mood & how well I know the gentleman, but I usually play the Pretty Lights station on Pandora. Sometimes I prefer a more tribal sound & go with the Beats Antique channel. The beats & basslines help me maintain a nice steady rhythm, without too many lyrics to distract the mind.
