This morning there were several posts on the internet for local news about stings for ladies using ads for services. At least 3 or 4 arrests in Elomhurst and Arlington Heights and airport area. Be careful. The arrests were of the girls not clients but who knows all details.

I have seen posts that had links to articles about busts with people's names and all that. May have even made such a post. Was that an oversight by the mods or is it okay to:

a. link to a public article that contains real names, so long as
b. nothing is in the post or article ties it back to a working name/board handle?

I agree that no one should be outed here, but this is not really outing anyone, just sharing public information.

In any case, I will PM, but would appreciate some clarification.

thanks,
zig

I had several requests for the links but not sure if allowed. I pulled one up via www.patch.com that gives local news for states and cities after clicking on the state. For the Elmhurst one you click on Elmhurst and find Police and Fire than open it and should see the arrest was at the Waverly hotel. It has a photo of the hotel and woman. I couldn't fone the others yet but did see a story where a couple in Woodstock ran an ad for her and a man went and was killed by gunshot after an altercation. Phots are there as well.

Be careful and try to stay with well reviewed providers.

It was explained to me that ANY personal info be it that it is tied back to a member or "Providers Name" or not is not to be posted here if it contains any personal names.  Policy posted below is pretty broad:

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Posting personal information of members or provider, including content copied from their emails and Private Messages, is grounds for BANISHMENT.

So putting up a news ad about busts right now is no longer considered ok.  I know some have gotten away with it, but that is actually up to the mod if they let it go or not, but they can ban you for it.
