To: Providers & Guy's,

Have you noticed that the providers rates are heading south?

I had a provider call me to see her, now what's that about?

My ATF PSE alway gave me her lowest "fee" & when I just saw her two weeks ago she lower her "fee" by $200-.

How about all the providers that are touring & they have either have great or real bad reviews. There "fee" is an ave. of $350- & that may be high.

I value what you have noticed for the guy's & to the providers is it the good old way of supply vs demand?

Thank you for this will be interesting!

I have noticed that we are having a record number of visiting providers in the DC area. DC has beat Chicago in terms of the number of eros ads. I think we are number 2 behind NYC. I have seen  cancellations because the market is over crowded.

Some of the dc locals have been forced to go to Philly and other places.

Others have had to get real jobs to make ends meet. I saw one who is pretty good, begging for clients for f/s at 150/hour.

They seem to be available without so much advanced notice. Many new ones continue to cut corners and not screen.

I looks like alot of visiting providers are cashing in at the end of month. Reminds you of corporations trying to close their books.

Yes it is supply/demand.

It is always supply and demand!  There are providers out there who refuse to acknowledge that, and totally lose it when offered something lower than their MSRP, and I can only agree with fellow hobbyists often posting here that those are girls to be avoided.  Some are very good at what they do, but still to be avoided because they just don't understand that all they have to do is nicely and teasingly get the point across "no, I get all the clients I need at the rack rate and am not willing to work for less".  Instead, a lot of these ladies act like you spit on them suggesting their time is not as valuable as other ladies' ads would suggest, and that we hobbyists don't respect them.  They just don't get it that that's what advertising is all about, creating demand and maximizing price.  Speaking only for myself, I choose carefully (my own screening, so to speak) and respect hell out of most every provider I have ever been with, and sometimes pay what they initially ask (once even more, lol, she was that saucy!), but always based on friendly and teasy negotiation, and where price lands it lands, and the process creates a common ground that in my opinion makes the actual session even more personal and exciting than it otherwise would be.  Hey, she's selling and I'm buying, and it's no different than the competitive bidding process I lived with in business for decades, and mine was a personal service business (not escorting, but still personal), and I always knew the client better after the process than before.  So hopefully what you are seeing is a maturing of the esocrt business, of new ladies coming in at the bottom not only fighting to establish themselves but also brought up better understanding that the open market is what gives them their chance, and that friendly negotiation is all part of the open market process, that it is actually a selling tool to loosenup a client, set him up for the best reception of her efforts, and establish common ground for repeat requests.

So, are you saying, we should always haggle over the price?

I think two factors at work. First is supply and demand...seems like a large influx of new talent, both local and touring. Touring would increase more if hometown is saturated or as a means to escape from bad reviews. Second is its summer time and it must be slow...far less business travelers and married guys spending time on family vacations. Lower fees are welcomed because I just moved here from NYC and the rates in Chicago area are excessive in comparison. Cost of living is much lower here but better selection for same price in NYC. Now if the local ladies get angry at me so be it. I tend toward the high end, which I can't even find here. Just about everyone is 250 to 350, with an occasional 400 or 500. Most wouldn't be able to make a living in NYC. Moving back to NYC in a few months so scream all you like. My ATF there tried to raise rates but rolled them back within 3 months...no takers. Almost get the feeling there is a form of price fixing here...anyone who lowers rates make get alot of crap from peers. Heard of women who don't watch the clock getting hell from other escorts. We clients can change the "rules"...vote with your wallet.

Perhaps the rates are starting to come back down to where they should be.

I saw Carrie of London is visiting, but 475/hr and a 2 hr minimum... those rates aren't going south!

Read all the above responses, and agree that a consumer in any open market always should "vote with his wallet".  As for the poster who asked if we should always "haggle", well, I think "haggle"'s a poor choice of words.  As said in my post above, the girls who think they have an MSRP and won't DISCUSS otherwise are girls I have found to have attitudes not conducive to great GFE sessions.  Oh, they may do all the mechanics, may come across as "hornygirl", etc, but in my experience (several years, maybe avg 1/mo) sessions with these providers end with a feeling of being controlled, and that's not the GFE session I'm looking for.  For example, I very recently raised the subject of rate with a very popular Chicago provider, and she responded in a cute non-defensive teasy way "I have plenty of takers right now at that rate so for the time being am kind of holding on that" (not the old snotty "I have all the biz I want so don't insult me by asking for a special deal", like we hobbyists are beggers!)  Now, I consider the response I did get a DISCUSSION because she didn't put me down or absolutely close me out, and we'll see where things go when she considers my response back (polite and warm, "sorry, that's just more than I feel comfortable with right now, but how about keeping me in mind"), and maybe when she has a few cancellations or no-shows or open time she'd otherwise rather fill (like the airline industry, once that empty seat trakes off, it never can be recouped).  Gotta be patient with this stuff, because whatever results from the discussion is with mutual good firmly in mind.  And goodly amounts of $$$ is being discussed in any case.  In the final analysis, you get a provider showing the right attitude in price discussion (not angry, not hurt, not on an ego trip, but instead just doing her biz), you usually get a provider with spunk and a great attitude and delivery.  Of course, YMMV depending on the girl and on the way you present yourself, but as with nmost things where both parties win, the whole thing is absolutely doable.
