Hi. I'm new to the hobby and trying to get screened for Alena in Chicago. Does anyone know how long this takes/what the criteria are? I sent them an email yesterday and no response.

I would wait a couple of days and send a follow-up email, and if you still don't hear back take her off your list and look for someone else.  Be careful how you word your message if you do send one.  A majority of the ladies who will respond will be professional and polite, but some view a second message as an insult and use it as an excuse to ignore and block you.

Alena is an agency, not an individual.

When I first sent my screening info, I also received no response.  After waiting several days, I resent a friendly email, asking whether there was a problem with my screening information.

Then replace "her" with "them" and replace "ladies" with "agencies".  The advice is the same.

Alena Chicago is, in my opinion, a wonderful agency!  If you have not received a reply yet, reach out again.  She does a great job of showing the dance schedule and setting appointments is quick and easy!
