I do this too where I tell someone to goto a certain area and call me 5-10mins ahead of time so they still have plenty of time to arrive in time for the appt on time.
The main reason is that some guests will arrive as much as 30mins early and call attempting to possibly get in early, at times I have not yet arrived at my location. Now if I had given them the location they would be hanging out at that location in the parking lot with the car running most times which draws suspicion especially in hotels. People leaving often times call in these guys because it looks like they are casing the place, next thing you know LE is crawling in the lot. It has happened. Another thing that happens when you give the actual location you are at, and this only happens at hotels mind you, is that the guys will wander into the lobby and wait for their lady friend to be ready. Which this would not be so bad but when some take the calls to come up stairs, they are ready now, talk loudly often repeating the room # and referring to the lady by their stage name. If it happens in a bar downstairs it is usually not as bad but in the lobby it can and will draw attention from the front desk which is not good for either party. Depending on which chain you are in they may call LE.... So, why do they give a near location before the actual location, it is actually for discretionary purposes. It is for your safety, her safety, and the safety of everyone who would visit. It is hard to explain all of this eloquently when put on the spot so the easy answer is always the 1st from the mouth. An example, I saw someone that knew where I was from a past visit. He hung out in the lot for an evening appt for over 30mins waiting with car and lights on. To be honest he is lucky the cops didn't get called on him. Had he let me know he was waiting I would have directed him to a coffee shop around the corner and asked if he could pick me up a green tea no sugar. Instead he hung in the lot. It happens, but best to try to head these things up before they become an issue or cause undo attention to yourself or the lady you are to be with... PS there are other reasons as well, but these are what I feel safe sharing on a board frequented by LE SageJust curious. A recent provider mentioned she has her clients wait at a specific location before getting the hotel address information because LE is watching. I don't know if that is true, but does anyone out there? It seems hard for me to believe that LE would hang out at hotel lots just to see who might be in their car waiting-and they could be waiting for several reasons. I always act busy and actually do some work. But what, they will follow you in? Anyone have any 411 on this or can point me towards an old thread? Thanks and happy holidays to all!

Good point Sage...that actually makes ALOT of sense! I know ALOT of guys make many many mistakes(myself included in my early days) in and around hotels. They think there being causiosion but end up drawing even more attention to themselves .
One thing I use to do is walk into the hotel talking to the provider asking for her room number and not knowing that I am actually repeating it out loud literally in front of the front desk people smh lol!
One provider got really mad at me for that! She was like "where are you! and why are you repeating my room number out loud!" and it made me realize to be aware of what the hell I am doing and saying around these hotel. Yes so Guya STOP REPEATING ROOM NUMBERS lol!!!

Texting is a great way to avoid saying room numbers aloud.
