I'm asking this up here because I assume that there are people w/ the knowledge I really need right now. Here's my situation. My wife and I have been separated since September. However we still live in the same house and still have unprotected sex here and there. I happened to go see a young lady Super bowl night and had protected intercourse but got a BBBJ. Everything seemed ok until last week when I started having pain when I peed and sometimes when I wasn't. I got tested this week and just found out it was chlamydia. The doctor and all my research says it has to be her, however my cousin who has had this before says, I may have gotten in back in February and have had mild symptoms until last week when the other pain came on. My question is, is it possible or likely than I got this Super Bowl night or is it more likely my wife gave it to me? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

why ask us - we're just a bunch of horny mongers.

ask your doctor.

If BBBJ can give chlamydia then I would think that it was Her.
If not then your wife can be carrying that too and pass it to you..did she get checked too.
I think chlamydia is Curable but I am not a House Doctor..

Lesson Learned - Never get a BBBJ on a Super Bowl Night...

Sometimes men have no symptoms for months . So you had a BBBJ last night , however you say that last week you had discomfort? Did you not take concern that you had something wrong with you before you had a BBBJ ? It sounds like you had this before you had involvement with the girl at the super bowl party .That makes it difficult to figure out who you got it from unless you had a symptom for something like bladder infection a week ago but it sounds unlikely. In any event if your wife gave it to you , and you had no symptoms until last week you probably got it from her . Question is who is she spending time with when you are not having sex?  If you hadn't mentioned symptoms  a week ago, I would have said yes from the BBBJ at your super bowl. However, you can catch this bacteria orally as well. It remains in the throat  . It is called trachomatis. If your wife gave this to you , and does not get treatment she will pass it onto you again and again as well as whoever else she is spending time with ...

I agree with Angela. There seems to be more history involved with either yourself, your wife and any past partners of both.
You may need to communicate and get treatment so it will not affect others.

Of course he could have caught it on Superbowl night from the bbbj and then passed it on to his wife, in which case she has it and will give it back to him and he still has no idea if it originally came from her or not.

Here are my questions: Can you catch this from a bbbj even if there is no CIM? Are there things you can do to reduce that risk (besides cbj), like washing thoroughly with antibacterial soap or something right after (since it is a bacteria)? How common is this in the hobby? I love a good bbbj as much (or more) than the next guy, but I'm starting to hav second thoughts.

In answer to your question YES you can contract it from BBBJ. Google is your friend to find more info.
His SYMPTOMS were a week prior. I am not saying that it would be impossible for him to contract this
from the super bowl girl but his symptoms would come later which he had BEFORE he let her BBBJ him.
And like i said earlier unless he has a bladder infection or something else , it would have been diagnosed when he went to the Dr. With men they sometimes have ZERO symptoms for months . The best way to
prevent oral STD is to use a condom for BJ. Now as far as the girl at the super bowl party,I hope  he tells her because I have a feeling the other men who saw her after she gave the infected person a BBBJ have much to worry about. Would be kinda helpful to know who super bowl girl is  to protect other providers from seeing her clients and anyone involved should stop screwing around and get a check up and get better .

This is why I do everything translated. I know it is not for everyone and many guys prefer natural... I know it cuts down on the amount of calls/guests I get, but I personally would rather be safe than sorry! Plus, most of my guests prefer to be safe too. I do have many wonderful repeat guests for over a decade already now, so I must be doing something right!
I just saw on the news if someone has HPV and you have unprotected oral sex with them then you can get oral cancer! It took my breath away when I heard that.
Like I said, I know most guys prefer the natural feel, and I do fully appreciate and respect that, but it is not for me... Sorry.
Much love and respect to all! XOX

it is entirely possible that you got it in either scenario. Best thing to do is have you and your wife checked and treated if necessary, and of course to tell the lady you were with on Superbowl Sunday so she can get tested as well. Women show symptoms less often than men so she may not even know she has it.
