Ok I have seen quite a few ads on BP and a few other places where the providers would post something about "Time wasters will not be tolerated". So what about when the provider is the time waster? I set up a date for this morning at 10:00. We sent a few emails setting things up and I asked for an email confirmation with hotel location info by 9:00. Didn't get that but then I read on her ad what area she was going to be in so I cruised over that way parked in a bank parking lot so that I could call or text her and get the location info and then I would already be close by. Called first around 9:30 and got no answer but it went to voice mail so I left her a message thinking she was probably in the shower. At 9:50 I tried to call again but still no answer so I sent a text asking for the hotel and if we were still on. At 10:15 I gave up and left for home. I only have so much time to play so that had already cut into it enough that I couldn't try for a plan B.

She finally sent me a text at 12:20 (2 and a half hours late) with a message saying "Sorry I forgot to take my phone off of silent alert last night." Ok so I can see how that might present a small problem with missing a call but if you have a session scheduled for a certain time and you are serious about keeping the appointment wouldn't you maybe ...oh I dunno...check your messages or something when the time was getting close? I'm thinking that was a total lie and she was just sleeping off a late night or something.

Time wasters aren't always clients.

Yup

I was sitting on the edge of me seat waiting for you to say you went back. I'm so glad I didn't have to fall outta my chair by reading you went late. BP is famous for flakes, bait & switches, and BSC providers. Maybe she did you a favor and you don't know it.

Actually she has some decent reviews on here (248285) so that is why I took a chance on setting something up. There is another one that I was looking at but her latest review on here was in Apr 2013. As far as I'm concerned she has expired.

Time wasters do go both ways. I could pull my hair out after today. Kelley

Bsecrett55, I really enjoyed your post and it actually made me feel better that I am not the only one who goes thru this. I am sure we all do and I agree totally that it only takes a phone call to be considerate.

The past 3 days have been crap for me as far as time wasters go, both on the email, phone and canceling at the last minute, and I mean last minute, after I have taken the day before to get my hair, nails, tan, outfit, shoes, lingerie, gotten directions, packed my car the night before, spent way to much time on the computer exchanging emails. When I add it all up, I have wasted almost 2 days getting ready for a date.

I can see why people do not answer their phones. I do love to have a conversation before we meet, yet when guys start getting into the details, then they make dress requests, lingerie request, Want to meet earlier than planned it drives me nuts also.

I had a 2/hr date schedule for Asheville last night, spent a heck of a lot of time making sure I had directions, got to sleep early, and in the mean time I ended up turning down other invitations to keep my word.

I call, to let the gent know I am on my way. I am going to be 15minutes late and he cancels????? I spent almost an hour on the phone with someone last night. They wanted in-call. I googled the area, made a reservation was up this morning at 11o'clock only to listen to his message that his mother had become ill and he was on a flight to see her for it was very serious.

I lost money on the room, had tried on different things the night before to take to the room because he wanted a certain look????? I have a feeling he knew after we hung up the phone he was not going to make the date. Just gut instinct.

I do not like writing about negative experiences, yet I guess it comes with the profession. I finally decided to look for a place in Charlotte close to I-85 and I-77 and to delete Greenville and Asheville.

Then I went to the ABC store, and to the wine store..........It is ridiculous how much energy is totally sucked out of a person.,

I was like puck it!!!!!! people think we only work an hour for how much time??????? Bat Shit Crazy, I tend to like that phrase at the moment.

Read your post and thought I would share my 2cents for what it is worth.
Lord have Mercy. Have to take the bad with the good and be able to somehow discern. Nuff said, Checking out for the evening..............Kelley

Kelley, I'm so sorry that happened to you... in the future

you may want to consider requiring a deposit for travel dates, or dates more than an hour. I've found that some unscrupulous folks will definitely play games with you otherwise, because they have no skin in the game, so to speak. It's all too easy to talk a big game... make lots of requests... watch a lady jump through hoops... and then bail at the last minute.

Unfortunately, it does sound like he never had any intention of going through with your date.

I've found that requiring a 50% deposit is no big deal to the stand-up guys... but it definitely weeds out the game-players and jerks.

Just a bit of advice, I hope it helps!

That is so inconsiderate! It is a terrible cycle of disrespect that really hurts us all. I wish everyone would just treat each other with the same respect they desire for themselves. Clients complain bitterly about providers who are late or pull NCNSs and providers experience the same disrespectful behavior from clients. It happens, and continues to happen because we tolerate it. Providers tolerate it because they need to get paid. This is how they earn a living. Hobbyist tolerate it because they want to get laid and don't want to have their handle trashed on the PO Board or via the provider's BackChanel System. We all need to stop tolerating bad behavior. The offenders will not change their behavior until there are consequences for their actions. Otherwise, we all suffer. I'm not saying to crucify people. Give them a chance to compensate for their actions. For example, Kelly, could email her client and respectfully state what the last minute cancelation cost her. The guy should be given the opportunity to explain, but still offer some compensation. I don't understand why people don't think the rules of business don't apply to the hobby. You can order a pizza and it will be free if it's not there in 30 minutes (I think Domino's stopped doing this, but it makes my point) however, I can arrange a date and allow the provider to show up hours late. I'm not suggesting the date be free, but discount a few bucks and you'll keep a client. Furthermore, you won't be late for the future date you have. The point is, attitudes toward bad behavior need to be adjusted. Both hobbyists and providers need to be more considerate of each other. The truely disrespectful should be ostracized by the community because their bad behavior harms the rest of us. My .02.

Tabu, I agree with the deposit thing. Yet, I feel some guys make multiple appointments just to insure they have someone. With the economy the way it is the market is saturated with providers who I cannot compete with their rates. However, like the person above said, I feel the people who have just their picture up, with no website, etc and have low overhead do take the first come first serve and if a guy makes a date with her then he is more likely to have to wait his turn. Just my opinion.

Durhamdrew, excellent points here also. Especially about writing the guy about how much time I spent, la, de da de dah etc. Which I did. His reply was that he lost money also. He said he had rented this beautiful place in Asheville just for us, yet he was staying with other people. He wanted to meet at either a café, or wine bar because the hotel was small and only had 12 rooms. Something just does not add up there. I think he wanted me to come earlier and when I was unable to make that adjustment in my schedule..........then he took the first excuse to cancel or either he already saw someone else. Boggles my mind...........

Being in the business for 10 years I do keep my appointments and I give extra time, only see one person a day because it is just to stressful having to drive etc. Yet, It is not the first time nor will it be the last time. I do think I am spreading myself to thin by offering, Greenville SC, Asheville, NC and Charlotte, NC.

Most of my winner calls come from Charlotte. So, I am going to quit complaining and be proactive to look at apartments in Charlotte. That way I will be close to the airport, can offer in-call and outcall. I guess it is like waiting on tables, some people tip, some do not.

I appreciate the feed back. I think opening myself to a closer place, if one person cancels and another person calls that would be great. Don't put all my eggs in one basket so to speak.
