I think that I know the answer to this question, but what do you do if you have tried to set up an appointment with a provider and it has fallen thru twice, kind of.  What happens if after you meet a provider, that you have been looking forward to meeting for awhile, you both realize that you have a number of mutual acquaintances/business associates outside of the hobby?  If one of you is okay with it, and one may not be.
After the awkward misfire meeting, a second was arranged, but fell thru.
Should you just let it go and realize that it ain't gonna happen, despite your personal feelings of a connection (possibly enhanced by the outside mutual acquaintances)?
Does any of this make sense?

like the answer.  Here's the relevant part of your post.

If one of you is okay with it, and one may not be.
If both parties aren't okay with the meeting, it shouldn't happen.

Sorry.

Thought so.
I'm used to being rejected, just not like this!

It is probably uncomfortable for her.  Had the familiararity not been there, I doubt there would even be an issue.  This is your opprotunity to be a gentleman.

Also. just to be sure, I'd try again after a few weeks. I've turned down appointments with the same person over and over just because of things going on in my life. All the days that worked for him, didn't work for me. He probably thought I was blowing him off too :(

Yawn.....what?  Oh, shouldn't let feelings intrude into the hobby.  It is just a hobby after all.
