I used to mod a hobby board, and there were a couple of girls who took the number of clicks of their ad and review threads very, very seriously. At one point there was a technical glitch that reduced the number of 'views' of one girl's review thread, and she completely lost her marbles. She yelled at me through multiple emails and said all kinds of nasty things to me and to the person who ran the board with me. All just because her number of 'views' was reduced (no reviews were lost). She, and others like her, are a major reason that board no longer exists.
I have noticed here on TER that when that same girl advertises in the Carolinas, her ad threads always have LOTS more clicks than the others below hers. I imagine her sitting in her hotel room, clicking her ad over and over again. It amuses me.
