Hi everyone.

I will be visiting Winston-Salem next weekend to see my daughter at Wake Forest. I would really enjoy meeting a lady from the south. I have heard so much about southern hospitality....lol. I would prefer a lady at least 30 years of age to keep from accidentally meeting someone my daughter may attend school with. I am looking for a bright, charming and attractive (stunning would be more accurate) lady to enjoy a drink and possibly dinner with and hopefully some quiet time afterwards.

As far as preference goes, at 48 years old I have found that chemistry and and a connection are the most important elements. Eye color, hair style and shape are all secondary concerns. Never-mind the fact that after getting her through high-school and into college I am no longer any thing close to a "Brad Pit".

I do not know very much about Winston-Salem, so I would need help with choosing a local restaurant to enjoy the start of our evening at.

Let me know if you are interested and I will forward you any required screening information.

Thanks

Despite being around a while, I would like to know HOW somebody knows when an alias is being used---anybody---Gabriella???  Tks

Gabby has an acute smell for sniffing out aliases, just one of her many talents!!!!  Here are some clues.

1. No reviews next to the handle in their post

2. If you try to PM them and you can't, it might be an alias.

3. Do a search on the board and look for their posting history.

Give those a try and you will have a better idea for who is posting via an alias. While of course there is nothing wrong with doing so, it just creates suspicion when you are looking for a provider.

I posted as an alias because my family name is well known in Winston-Salem (Reyn....). I am a VERY distant relation and not looking for "gold-diggers". I am just looking for a nice quiet evening. Where I live my name might as well be Jones.

Otherwise it shouldn't really matter too much as far as posting on the board. When you use an alias to inquire about finding a girl it looks shady, like you have something to hide. But anyway, you know the whole money thing that's involved? You're basically paying us to leave when we're done, and for there not to be any drama. Thats why you need to simply do your research, and find the right match for you-someone professional that won't cause you any problems, but that is laid back and fun and can be a good companion for an extended date.

As a hobbyist, given my profession and marital status, I could see the need, and have posted as an alias when traveling.  My hobby is...well...my secret.  How many of my friends, neighbors, and colleagues share the same predilection.  If I routinely visit a regional board, it may be obvious that I play in...lets say...the Raleigh area, then it may be correctly assumed by other forum members that Im from the Raleigh area.  That assumption is certainly valid if my reviews state lunch time visits.  A search and review of posts made under my "handle" show interest this month in seeing a lady in Dallas while on an upcoming visit.  A post showed interest in Charleston on a trip last month.  It's possible that a colleague, or anyone, that knows my travel schedule could put two and two together.  In this World of electronic records that are building a never ending data base, it certainly could pay to be cautious.

Your handle in itself is an alias. So unless your name is John Smith, and your TER handle is "JohnSmithFromRaleigh", then I don't see why the need for paranoia when posting on the board. If someone is that worried about friends/family/co-workers finding out that you hobby, because of posting on the board under a made up name, then they probably shouldn't be here in the first place.

You are probably right. But YES I do worry about my daughter finding out what I do and when. I learned years ago not to forget that this is a "public" board and posts can be found by a simple Google search. Then it is just a matter of doing a simple search of the board to find all my postings for the last 4 years or longer. That would include dates and locations that someone might directly connect to me. After all some clients, like myself, have far more to lose by not being careful, than a most providers.

I think my post has become a distraction. I think I will pass on meeting anyone this weekend Hopefully one day it will happen for me in Winston-Salem. I want to say thank you to the one lady that did reply favorably. Maybe another time.

If I can recommend any restaurant, it would be Village Tavern.
Fox and Hound is nice as well but I think offers more of a sports bar type of environment. It's still nice though.
My last recommendation would be MidTown Cafe & Dessertery. Think of it as a glorified "Panara Bread" type place.
Good luck in your search, Winston-Salem is full of nice haunts to go to, but you just have to know where in the city to look.

Thank you. I do appreciate the suggestions. I have heard from my daughter that Milners is nice and has a small quiet bar. Do you know it?

I am not going to pursue a date with anyone this weekend. I think my post was not taken seriously.

Thanks again
