When i first moved to this area, the quality and quantity of providers seemed far better than it is now, one would think that with the current economic situation there would be more ladies, also we use to get some good touring girls(i know that can be hit and miss, but when i stuck with the big agencies i had good results). Now less ladies, poorer quality(service and looks), very rare touring ladies, and the cost of romance is sky high? what do others think?
You brought up several interesting observations that are worth looking at. At the end of the day, I do believe it depends specifically where in our Carolinas we are talking about. I will focus on Greenville, SC and what I've seen over the past two years....
The Upstate SC is home base to one of the living legends in the business: Griff. Many of us have been (and still are) pampered/spoiled by this lovely lady. We are lucky! At least on a monthly basis (now more often), another legend (Barbie) would visit us. Some may argue we were stretched thin on quantity but certainly not on quality. If I really wanted variety, I'd travel to Atlanta every once in a while. Not anymore...
What about now? Griff and Barb are still around and great as ever. As far as other locals- I have not seen them yet (but I sure will)....Edan's Garden's hotties (yum,yum). Some of the ladies who have toured this area over the last year or so includes Starr of NC, Alyse from the Triad, Rae Monroe, Char Evans, Brooke and Madison from Atlanta. What a line-up, don't you think? I'm sure that I accidentally ommitted many other fantastic ladies....and to you, please accept my apologies in advance for my oversight.
In short, things are looking GREAT over here!!!

I would agree with the description of the situation in Raleigh.
IMHO, there are just way too many hassles trying to meet local providers. Visitors with good reviews were the next choice, but now it seems they are not coming around as much.
Funny thing about a hobby, when its not much fun, one tends to spend less, not more, on that hobby.
and if you think the "cost of romance is sky high" here, well compared to DC, Boston, Philly and Florida, it's not high here.
I think it hard to get some of the top tiered ladies to come to Raleigh because they can get $350-$500/hr in the markets I mentioned with no problem.
And because of the economic situation, I'm having to go out of state more right now because I can't afford to sit here.
And the really big agencies aren't here. Take a look at the ladies on Miami Companions, Flawless and Belle De Jour's websites, just to name a few of the big hitters. But they aren't sending their ladies here.
I don't know what your definition of a quality provder is, everyone has different tastes. But there are plenty of good looking ladies in the Carolinas and some from out of state that come here, that provide exceptional service.
Maybe you aren't getting the variety you desire here anymore, but that doesn't mean there aren't some FINE Carolina hotties here.
Maybe you need to take some road trips to the larger cities that are overflowing with hot ladies.

I wanted to throw my two cents in. I have currently moved here from DC in the last month and although I do prefer to play while I am not in the home area, I look at who, what, and where is available. There are some very nice woman in this area ( I am in CLT) but it looks like a lot in the RD area. I am trying to find the time to get there. As far as DC, there is a plethora of woman in the local area and plenty of visitors. The good local woman on average are $300-$400.00 dollars. There are several very fine woman at $300.00. I think the reason this area does not get the amount of visitors is surely due to demand. If I was traveling, I would go to a large city with a very happening scene. With so many people in DC that live there and travel for business into DC, the choices are better than a buffet in Vegas. Be that as it may, I am still going to sample what NC has to offer. And the prices are reasonable. I just don't see any hot double action available.
Oh yes, oh yes there is trust me. Just wait for my ad today and you'll see....hehehehehehe.

I certainly would have to agree with Steph.
I recently relocated here and I've been back in Raleigh since August 25th. Since I've been back I only seen my "regular" friends. Most new friend either don't want to pay the so-called "sky high" rates, make an appointment with a few other ladies and stand up one of us or looking for something cheap.
For the entire month of August I was in NY/NJ/Philly area, and the last week of July in Atlanta. I do must admit, I have no problem getting 300-500 in those areas. Atlanta was my base home for 3 years as some of you may know this already.
I used to visit Raleigh/Charlotte once to twice a month and made a good amount, as there are some ladies that are locals here in NC could attest to it.
What happened?
I will tell you, Gents got accustomed to paying less and most of them utilize the free board with Craigs name. When I get calls from Eros they often get confused and say they saw me on that board, so knowing specifically that I do not post on there, I have to correct them. There you have it!
Stop being cheap, pay a little more and you will get farther!

Given the nature of your contributions to the Board over the years, I'm not surprised by the question, but why ask it if the only possible outcome of asking it is to insult the ladies in the Raleigh area and particularly those you've seen. I'm not familiar with the Raleigh and you may be absolutely correct in your assertion, but did you really think that one of the gentlemen would unlock a secret cache of "quality" ladies for you if you just asked or did you think you'd convince a couple of "quality" ladies who'd been lurking on the Board to make the big leap because of the economic situation? To ask that question without any hope of finding a solution is just plain stupid. And by the way...it's "quantity," not "quanity."

When I look thru your reviews..I don't see many of our Ladies from here in Raleigh listed in your reviews.

I don't really understand it.
I know I am a very well reviewed provider. I also know I am SEXY. Many times I am not on a guys to do list and I am not shilled for their best fLAYfor of the week.
But that does not mean I am not worthy.
My point is this. THERE are ladies who are wonderfully sexy and talented. They post every week.

I don't know what time period you are referring to when you first moved here, but I think the variety and quality of local and touring ladies is excellent for an area of this population. There are some ladies that I would love to see, but are beyond my self-imposed financial limits, but there are also many hot ladies of varying ages, physical attributes, and talents.
They also have the 90 minute option and their rates are very reasonable.
Based on what I've tracked, Raleigh historically gets better quantity and quality of providers than Charlotte. However I can see your point that fewer ladies seem to be visiting Raleigh. That is not to say (which is where I agree with the other posters) that there isn't good quality in Raleigh.
This is what I have seen in Charlotte. In the past month, there have been more ladies posting on CL. Many of these ladies are new providers or providers without reviews -- Quantity went up. I've seen a big uptick in ads for nude massage. I have also seen posts on Eros go up as we have a few visitors -- Quality went up. I do not know if this is because we are moving into Fall (which traditionally has higher supply than the summer) and/or because of the economy.
As for expense, it seems the main price point for Charlotte is $250 per hour. Ladies on CL seem to be driving the price down by offering $200-$280 while Eros is $250-$350. Miami Companions and other high-end agencies for the most part have stopped coming here. I've talked to several agencies to try and recruit ladies here and they say not enough demand exists at their prices. They want me to guarantee the # of visits.
As most here know, I'm into the young coed type. I've found one great diamond in Charlotte and many cubic zirconias. It seems most of the best coeds are coming out of Greensboro between GFE4NC, Ashlees, StarofNC and independents. Great looks, service and prices. I've tried recruiting ladies to come down here, but to limited success. To Feetman's point, a place like DC has steady demand with business guys & lobbyists on expense accounts staying at hotels. Supply naturally follows there to meet demand. Charlotte just isn't in that league.

Maybe one reason there are not as many traveling to RDU area is due to the reviews for so many that travel. CL is a crapshoot at best so people are hesitant of the ads there. So many EROS travelers have not had great reviews.
We have a great number of local ladies in the RDU area which I'm proud to say and broke to say I have met quite a few. Not reviewed 100% of them and seen many multiple times. There is a long list that I would recommend of locals and ladies that are from other parts of NC that visit the Raleigh area often. Maybe we have so many great local ladies that the demand for the traveling ladies is not as high.
