Been trying to get hooked up, finally scored an appointment. Her booking guy said what hotel she'd be at. Drove to Winston Salem for our appointment from Raleigh.  Got to hotel and when I called to say I was there, dude answered and said she was out sick.  She had my email address, we've been communicating.  Nothing at all, total waste of a day and 200 mile drive.

Maybe you could email her and voice your irritation and maybe she will offer you a discount to come and see her again.  Things do happen but a phone call is always appreciated!

I agree with you. Conduct like that is completely inexcusable. In this day and age of emails, cell phones, etc, there is no reason for a breakdown in communication.  Chalk it up to being a bad day and move on to another!!!

But I agree that between email and cell phones she should have contacted you....I hope she steps up and offers you a "make up" special....This is a biz and remember that taking care of customers is #1.  And of course we gents need to give ladies proper cancel notice also....I've worked with a few ladies and the crap they go thru sometimes to screen and book an appointment only for many to cancel or no show....It would drive us guys to drink !!

awhile back I had appointment with someone who works with/for her at Look At That, and when I arrive was told she was sick, and offered for someone else to meet with. I declined not having done any research on the other person yet.

I did meet with Trophie Girl previously, who once I got to the hotel was informed it was switched to someplace else. I still had to wait even at the new place once I arrived, but otherwise had a good session (see review).

Problems do arise, but they do need to keep us better informed. Not a good way to run the agency.

Hello I am Alyse, I wanted to at least address my side even though peoples going to beleive whatever.
I am a very classy well respected lady and greatly enjoy what I do, I think my reviews have well showed for that. I also am in no way associated with LAT at all.

I am sorry if you had been misinformed of a meeting however I have been on tour for two weeks not being anywhere close to NC and therefore have not been in Winston for a very long while. I am also in RDU and not sure why you would ever have a problem seeing me other than if you did not have ref or I have some specifics via web page off gentlemen I prefer to see. All I can say is I was not aware of any of this and I am sorry that it has happened.

If nothing else , you deserve to be compensated for your gas money. If the provider in question was sick , it is her sole responsibility to let you know (any way she can) that she can't make the appointment before you leave to go see her. It's the only rational solution because if you stood her up , she would've DNSed you in a NY minute.

If he even wishes to see her again and a discount is offered , he will also need to be compensated for the gas money he spent to see her when she originally NCNSed him. I don't care what excuse she had , even if 'her handler' was telling him the truth about being sick , a lack of a phone call from her demonstrates her extreme lack of professionalism in the hobby.Good news travels fast , but bad news travels even faster.

If what you say is true , why wasn't this communicated to the client by you or your 'handler'?

Alyse said she is on tour and not even in NC and her calender on her website supports this fact....why would she make an appt in Winston?  Another mystery unsolved..lol

and I know for a fact she's been out of NC for 2 weeks. I'm curious as to when this "meeting" supposedly was to have taken place.

Ok, certainly did not want to get into finger pointing, was actually sorry I mentioned Alyse by name as my main point of the post was to be about two-way communication in the event of a cancellation.  Yes, her calendar said she would be in the Meadowlands. I dropped her an email expressing sorrow that she was out of town and she responded back to the email that she'd actually be back early and would be free that day.  Who knows, perhaps she got side tracked or delayed.  Totally understandable.

I've read many many many positive things about Alyse and in no way meant to take away from that.  If I felt she wasn't a top-notch professional and caring person, I never would have booked with her, for I feel she is based on what I've read about her.

I hope we can move on now, I think the point about communication has been made.  ALYSE, I apologize if I've soiled your good reputation in any way, that wasn't my intent.  Your reviews speak for themselves and still stand as far as I'm concerned. I'm a big fan of the hobby, this forum, the old Sweet Dixie (how I miss you) and everyone who appreciates the art.

If you look more closely at her calendar , she , in fact , was in the Winston-Salem area on Friday 3/6/09. The complaining client could very well have been stood up by her on that friday. There is no law in the rule book that says he has to post a complaint immediately.For whatever reason , the client could've held off posting his complaint until now.
