I was in class this evening and I got a bunch of pm's about the hump day thread. Hey guys I just live here like yall. Did anyone put in a problem report to Customer service??? Just asking, that is what we are suppose to do. I didnt see anything that appeared to break any rules.
I miss HBS. I sent a question in to the powers to be asking why it was pulled.

I suspect its the word I used in the title. When I said 'Board Cr**k', it could have been misconstrued as a drug thing. Someone that doesnt know Roadie might have taken offense. Someone pushed the button on it. And it was gone poof. I will take the blame on that one, but will see what they say.
I did ask someone that I respect for advice not on the Carolina board. I got a reply that TER is trying to cut down on pic threads. Now that aint totally cut off mind you, but we just might need to come up with a community policy for the Carolinas. Also it was noted that the ladies cant have links to thier web sites in a pic thread. Its a form of advertisement.
You know I am glad we have the ad board. But when you ladies post n a pic thread it has a link to the reviews that have your website in them. I would think that the art galleries are a form of advertisment but at the same time a lot of fun for the Carolina Boys and our friends from around the country. Ivote for pic threads. Not every day but 2 or 3 times a week.
While I understand TER's need for less controversy etc.. I think they have managed to run alot of folks to other places.. If you notic there have been far less post on the Carolina boards in recent weeks. Some of that I know is because others have moved to the over 60 board but not all.
HSB was fair and quick to respond. I miss him too.
BUt I think that is a left over from the old system. I expect something today.
Folks. I personally feel in my communications with some folk that there are other concerns. Seems like a lot of newbies showed up recently and concerns of LE have been bantered around. And sometimes I find that the newbies are so skiddish they make us guys skiddish. Yeah the 60s board is going good and I have also been reading it a lot but I still love our Carolina board.
Then there are those guys out on business trips, moving and some are actually hobbying, and some ladies will just grap a dudes full attention with banter right before a date and he will forget all about the board till afterwards. Go figure. And some of you ladies get a little burned out with the board at times and take a little break, and that is understandable.
but yes losing HBM makes me feel like I lost contact with TER. Like the signal light is out in a busy intersection. The dude would smack my hands when I was in the wrong and I always appreciated it. lol And he was always fair. I really admired that fella.
The Florida and Atlanta boards, being the train wreck they were is what I think TER was thinking about when they changed things. So they got the attention. We arent an issue so we have niche. You know the squeaky wheel thang.
Pic Posts. It was left up to each mod and the thoughts of the members of each board. Some allowe pic's and comments, some just pics - no comments. Others allowed links in all but the OP some did not.
And Folks - I am still around but very moderated (pay back is a bitch--- LOL)
Yeah I read once that the OP could not post a link. So that was why I asked for the pic post so that a lady didnt have to skip it. But it seems like the rules are a changing. I read the rule board last night and I couldnt find anything that was broken. I am still waiting for a reponse. But I heard a rumor that the service people are in Europe so it may be tomorrow before I hear back. I just think we dont need to do a pic thread until we do.
We may have to come to some sort of agreement on here to decide what is fair to all our ladies. JDK
is still about girls only being allowed to advertise once a week. I think maybe they are considering the pics themselves to be "ads" even if the girls don't link their websites.
But that is just a wild guess. I'm all for the pic threads personally, even if I don't usually participate in them....
