A bunch of lives will be ruined. As DOJ announced, people from all walks of life will be implicated based on confiscated confidential info such as driver’s license info, employment info, and digital receipts for deposits. If it can happen in VA, DC and MA, it can happen anywhere. This really gives pause to how much much risk you take when give out detailed information in the screening process.
but also who you share it with. Unfortunately, in the US, agencies are not the safest option due to the increased scrutiny from LE. We're talking about bigger operations here, with a lot more at stake than independents. Agencies are the big prize that LE actively seeks out, investing time and money. This is not a new phenomenon; we see it happening over and over again. Now, don't get me wrong, nothing is 100% secure so I'm not saying independents are full-proof, but when it comes to LE, there's much less reward unless an independent draws significant attention to themselves. So, my friends, if you're willing to flirt with danger and trade safety for convenience, go ahead and play with fire!
