I'm planning my first Charlotte trip and I'm hoping you guys can give some advice on good places to stay. Some place with easy parking, restaurants and shopping nearby, easy to get to. A nicer hotel in a good area. If not specific hotels an area to look in.  

I love Charlotte and I'm betting you would be well received there...

You're most accessible to everyone in those two areas. Between the two I'd say South Park, better parking for everyone, great restaurants and of course the mall!
