DA has brought up new charges relating to laws of crimes against nature...as I read the article in the Shelby newspaper - The Star - original charges are being dropped & new charges of attempted crime against nature and of solicitation of a crime against nature are being added to the original charge of prostitution. DA said she had reviewed the evidence & decided to now bring the new charges. Under NC law, oral sex is considered illegal as a crime against nature & thus many times such charges are made when no sexual intercourse can be proven. Not sure of Washington, DC laws but similar charges would have needed to be brought against former President Bill Clinton since he only had oral sex with the infamous intern.
Military has a regutation stating the same thing. In fact it dictates the missionary position is the only legal sexual position. I believe that is the origin of the dont ask dont tell policy over the past decades.
As far as a crime against nature--- its a crime that its a crime,
Under NC law, and probably in other states as well, oral sex is illegal EVEN BETWEEN MARRIED COUPLES. Thus money does not have to exchange hands for their to be a crime - thus probably why the new charges were added.
And NC law probably dictates the same of only the missionary position but have not researched lately so can not vouch for whether other intercourse positions are allowed. Damn shame when a BJ or DATY is willingly given and received but it is classified as a crime.
Now our damn Republican led General Assembly is meeting this week to try to pass the placing of a Constitutional Amendment on the ballot for Nov 2012 to add the definition of a married couple only being between a man & a woman. Hell, if the gays & lesbians want to get married LET THEM - they should have to endure the same crap as other married couples...LOL
