Some relatively closed groups of swingers do engage in unprotected sex, but they claim to be more or less sexually exclusive within their group and everyone has to get tested at least twice a year.  I don't think that's often enough.  
Can't think of many other situations where I'd even consider the idea while hobbying, or with civvies that I'm not monogamous with, for that matter.  And I'm done with monogamy.
