I guess the police didn't have enough real crime to deal with.  Y'all be careful using Craigslist.  This is the 3rd different sting I've posted about in just the past few weeks and all had some tie to Craigslist.

37 arrested in Craigslist prostitution sting

LOS ANGELES - Craigslist may be the newest way to hook up, but the world's oldest profession is still illegal, and 37 people have been jailed as a result of a police prostitution sting, it was reported today.

Two suspected prostitutes leaped out of second-floor windows to escape as "Operation Red Light" officers raided several locations where computer- assisted brothels were operating in the San Gabriel Valley last week, the Pasadena Star-News reported.

Police officers in Alhambra, Monrovia, Monterey Park, Rosemead, and San Gabriel joined Los Angeles Sheriff's deputies in unincorporated East Pasadena in the raids, which took place Tuesday and Wednesday.


Coordinated by the sheriff's department, officers made dates with about 32 women at locations ranging from massage parlors to unassuming condominiums in residential neighborhoods.

One of the suspected brothels, in the 3800 block of Rosemead Boulevard, had been under surveillance for some time. Five people were arrested there.

Federal immigration officers accompanied local officers on all the raids, and the FBI will be given two one hundred dollar bills that were seized and appeared to be counterfeit.
