Making first visit to Raleigh and would like to know the best dinner places

Ladies, and Gents,

I love seafood, and most all other foods too and would love to get suggestions of the top places in Raleigh when i visit this month..

and also, whats the closest beach to Raleigh I could "play" and have ocean and work on my tan time?

As far as a good seafood restaurant in Raleigh, I would have to suggest the 42nd St. Oysterbar. A bit pricy, and crowded, but a broad selection of menu choices, very good ambiance, pretty good seafood. A second choice would be the farmers market. Not really a restaurant, mostly a grill, but in my opinion, the best seafood in town.  
  The closest (and easiest to get to)  beach to Raleigh would be Wrightsville Beach.  Nice beach community and  very close to Wilmington, which would be good for some business on the side. If you want action and entertainment go to Myrtle Beach,SC.
  Others will offer their best seafood restaurant and beach choices. These are just my 2 cents worth.   SB

Come to Wilmington.  Wrightsville Beach is the closest and best from Raleigh.  And eat at The South Beach Grill.

Getting mixed opinions of the beach area.. which i was going to do but IDK if I will make it to the beach now.. unless I get more requests.. so as of now Raleigh.. hope it works out.. I heard Wrightsville beach works out..

Only place I know in dowtown Raleigh that is open at 2am. Good for feeding your drunk or trying to figure out what happened to your date's g-string.
