Is it just me or has TER been infiltrated by questionable reviews.  I have notice when browsing that a lady wont have any reviews referenced in there ad and then BAM all of a sudden they have a glowing review and post it all over there ad page almost immediately after it shows up here.  I am not here to blast the admins or mods who monitor this but it seems lately this is going on more and more, and one of the things I like about TER is that you could always count on the reviews being fairly close to accurate.  I am sure a fake one slips through now and then, no system is perfect.  Any other thoughts from my fellow Carolina hobbyists.

Just my 1/2 cents worth

Well think about it.  A good review generates a lot of biz. So it only make sense that a provider that is serioius will take advantage of a good review.  Now if the 1st is glowing and then follows a series of bad reviews I would be suspicious of that 1st review...IMHO

I was told by the powers that be that 38% of the submitted reviews are rejected for one reason or another. So with a bit of yankee common sense applied to that, is it unreasonable that maybe an additional 10% of the submitted reviews are false or self reviewed? I think it's fairly obvious that it's very possible.

This very board lost a providor just two days ago for self reviews. I was shocked but it was true, she submitted a review on herself. These things are carefully tracked and everything that transpires has an attached IP address.

So my belaboured point is, while I think TER does an incredible job of screening the reviews and is maybe sometimes a bit too critical, bad reviews, self reviews do exsist. Nothing is perfect. If a lady does not have more than four or five postd reviews, why on earth take the chance? You have so many excellent women over there, it's simply a dumb decison to roll the dice on an unknown woman. That is unless you have excess money and don't care about the results.

Beyond false or self reviews, though, I might add that I find TER reviews to be either universally good or universally bad, with little in between.  This can be unhelpful and might create false impressions, as well as reflect how reviews are evaluated.

For example, I've submitted two reviews that rated the two providers a bit below average compared to other existing reviews, and these were subsequently rejected.  On the other hand, a review I submitted that agreed with existing reviews was accepted.  What gives?  Can a hobbyist have his own sense of taste and go against a herd mentality once in a while?

I think TER should allow for more nuance.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions simply because a provider doesn't have any reviews and then gets a good review. I would if she got that first good review and then had poor reviews.

I think a single review should always be taken with a grain of salt anyhow. In situations where a girl only has a handful of reviews, I always check the reviewers themselves. How many reviews have they submitted? Are they for different girls? Are they all very recent? Or do they have slew of reviews of various ladies that date back a while? Has he met any of the same ladies I have? If so, how did he review them compared to me?

Every provider has to have a first review. To get a review, she needs clients. To get clients, she needs to advertise in one place or another. If they're a good provider, I imagine it will be a good review. Not exactly rocket science. It could just as easily be legitimate as fake.

Look in the newbie section. New providers constantly ask how they can get reviews and what not. Good reviews go a long way for them. It's an accolade for their work. When interviewing, I like to bring all of my accolades to the attention of potential employers. This is no different.

While I agree with all, very good points made, and like I said I wasn't taking a shot at the admins or mods, I am sure filtering out the good from fake is tough.

I guess I should have added that i noticed that these first reviews always seem to be from a first time reviewer, which, in my mind, only adds to the suspiciousness of it.  It also seems to be the timing, I have noticed that the minute a review is posted it seems like they are advertising it on the ads.

I guess I am just extra paranoid when it comes to the hobby.  I was more curious to see if anyone else had noticed the trend happening more lately.

I really wasnt trying to stir the Poop Pot.

I just wait for CRTicas to post a review!!!lol

My review by CRTicas is one of my FAVORITES!

so come up here and and show me :)

I just got a little wet thinking about a repeat of our last performance!! WOO HOO

Dam, just a little wet,  I have failed

With my toy...thinking of you..that better?? hehe

Haha, yep, I wait for CRTicas as well :-)

Hey all, I'm back in the hobby for a little bit.

If the provider is new but the person giving the 1st review has cred (aka CRTicas) then I say good enough for me.

If the provider is new and the reviewer is new, then I say, thanks, but like wine, I'll let that one age a little.

In terms of what gets approved or not, I have had to re-submit many reviews.  I think each approver applies a slightly different standard b/c sometimes I am rejected for not enough detail when my review had way more detail than others for the same provider.  Other times I don't put in less detail and it gets approved.  Other times, the web site gets rejected.  I have had a few eros-carolina posting getting rejected.  Go figure.

I know that TER does have measures to track self reviews as I know more than 1 agency or escort who got into trouble this way.  If anything TER is too strict in that they ban the agency even if the agency had one bad apple amoungst a good crop.  Oh well, overall, I still trust TER.

I have taken many for the team and done many first reviews.  What I don't understand is why most ladies won't offer a sweeter deal for a 1st review.  Or if they know you are going to write a review on them, why they don't give better performance.

My friend where have you been...! You better be at the M/G.

I agree on your point about providers not understanding the relavance of a good review.  Mary is a perfect example,  good reviews TOO MUCH BIZ.  I think the ladies whom are serious understand.  The ones out to make a quick buck either dont understand or dont care.  Just like used car salesmen.......
