I conducted a little experiment recently and I wanted to share my findings with you.

I have an extremely high erotic drive and enjoy the hobby immensely. The gentlemen I have met over the years have been nothing but delightful and our times together have been most fulfilling. Yet...

There are times when my friends are unavailable and, as a single woman, I find there are nights and weekends that I desire some....companionship. So I set off into the world of internet hook-ups to see what I might find.

Adult Friend Finder: I penned my profile much like my posts here on TER re: I enjoy friendships with benefits. No one-nighters or "parts that pass in the night". I received loads of messages with no substance or real intention behind them. Apparently, sending a message on AFF is much like a mental jackoff: some people just get off on pretending to want to hook up. Ick... I did meet a nice man with whom I met a few times and then he dropped off the face of the earth. Classy...

Ditto for Match, Yahoo Personals, and LavaLife minus the one disappearing act. Fool me once, etc. etc.

Ok..so I then decided to try swingers. I enjoy the company of women as well so I thought that this might be a good place to find a more stable group of people. WRONG!!! These were the most rude and judgemental people I have ever seen in my life. I actually was ditched by a couple I was not even interested in! Hello? Did I magically travel back to high school? Another couple was very attractive and entertaining but the bitchy comments between the two was just a major turn off. They were swingers alright...swinging AT each other!

My point of sharing this with you is to say THANK YOU to the wonderful gentlemen of the hobby. I have always been treated with respect, kindness, and a healthy dose of passion. My time with you is more special than I ever realized. As Thanksgiving approaches and we recall the things for which we are thankful, I will think of you my friends!
